Roxanne Pierce:-
The moment I reached the racetrack, every single gaze turned towards me, and the whole crowd began to cheer for me. I heard them scream my name out of excitement as they told me how much they love me and all, and shipping me for me to win the race like every other race I did.
"Roxy...Roxy...Roxy!" I heard them cheer.
"We love you, Queen of Asphalt."
"Show them who is the champion."
After looking at their faces, I almost forgot about everything for a moment and felt alive as I smiled and waved at them after putting on my custom leather jacket with a black vulture logo, along with the title Queen of Asphalt on it, and fixed the waist of my leather pants that hugged my legs like second skin. Something I know won't end up nice after this race ends.
The smile and the feeling of being alive I felt for a moment all of a sudden vanished when Darius came out of nowhere in front of me and kissed me hard before pulling away by mere inches, only to threaten me against my lips.
"Lose the race, or you will lose every single thing that you love," he spoke, looking directly into my eyes, and gave my arms a sharp squeeze that made me hiss in pain, but to everyone else it looked like affection as he kept that charming smile plastered on his face.
"Darius, please..." All of a sudden, we were interrupted by a very thick, dangerous, but sexy voice of a very tall, greyish blue-eyed, muscular, and heavily armed tattooed man dressed up in black leather who towered a few inches over Darius, enough to intimidate the man. Enough to make Darius boil with rage and anger as he glared at his rival.
The President of Iron Reapers MC, Zane Cross. The former Underground Champion who never lost a race.
"Creed," the man spoke with a straight face and nod, and stopped his gaze on me for a few moments until our gazes locked for a mere moment, making my heart skip a beat.
"Cross," Darius spoke with gritted teeth and responded with a curt nod. "Ready to lose another race by my sexy girlfriend?" he asked, wrapping his arms around me possessively, pulling me closer as if I wasn't already close enough. The asshole just wanted to mark his territory to this sexy, fashion-bearded man in front of me.
Oh my God, his beard. It was good. Not like other bikers with long and filthy beards, but sexy, neat, and clean-shaven, done by a luxurious barber type of beard.
"So, who is the lucky, sorry unlucky guy racing against my girl over here, since he is going to lose pretty badly?" Darius asked, trying to get on President Zane's nerves, but the man didn't give any reaction at all. Stood calm and quiet on his ground and answered in a quiet, professional tone like a businessman instead of a biker with foul language.
"I am so sorry to disappoint you, President Creed, but the person racing against your girl is not a guy but another girl," Zane replied, nodding at his group where a tall, sexy, and long-legged blonde stood in leather shorts and jacket, holding the helmet in her hands and winked towards us as she made her way beside Zane and held her hand out for a shake in front of me.
"Meet the best female rider of my group, Biance Moreau a.k.a. Vixen." Zane introduced her to Darius. Bianca had this mask and smile of innocence plastered on her face, but I could tell she wasn't as innocent as she looked. There was pure hatred evident in her eyes for me. I might be weak and desperate, but I know how to read people. I have learned this through the hardships in life.
"Ready to lose, Queen of Asphalt?" she asked with a smirk as we shook hands.
"I hate to burst your bubble, but I never lose, Vixen," I said sarcastically.
"Awww, that's too bad," she said with a pout. "But again, there is always the first time for everything. Isn't?" she asked me, but her eyes were fixed on Darius this time, making me frown and suspicious all of a sudden. As if Bianca knew in advance that I was going to lose.
But how? What is going on over here?
Before I could ask or say anything, the announcement was made, and all the bikers were asked to line up. I watched Bianca and Zane walk away, but not before Zane gave me another look and left. As I was getting on my bike and about to start the engine, Darius held me to him and whispered in my ear one more time.
"Remember, you have to lose this race, or you won't get a single penny out of me for your sister's surgery." he threatened. "Lose it, and I promise to keep my word and provide you with the full amount for Emma's surgery after this race."
"You promise?" I asked with hope in my eyes, although from inside it was killing me to pieces. The racetrack and getting on the bike are the only things I love and like to do for myself. My reputation and fame mean a lot to me since I have achieved this with lots of broken bones, hardships, blood, sweat, hunger, and the will to survive another day, but all of this means nothing to me if I don't have my sister to share this by my side.
"I promise, babe," he replied, kissed me on my lips, and walked away while hooting. "Cheer up for my girl, everyone, because she is the best!!"
Another act of Darius that I am used to, as he does this every time to gain the attention of the audience. Bianca and I lined up for the race, and she winked at me and spoke.
"Scared now, Queen? Aren't we?" she asked as the flag was waved in front of us.
"3...2...1... and go!!"
