"So we have two more dates to go in this contest. Which theme are we going with next? Or do we put them in a hat and randomly draw?" I ask as we sit at the table with our families.
"Hat." Uncle Goose answers quickly.
"Hat." Kevin says. "Then you can't cheat and ask for the one you prefer first." He digs his finger playfully into my side.
"I don't cheat sir. A true knight would never accuse the princess of cheating." I give him an indignant look to match my tone.
"I'm more like the morally gray version of Lancelot. Just sayin'." He jokes with a wink and the whole table laughs. "So I totally will accuse you of cheating or bending the rules. Gotta keep those princesses honest."
"Hear, hear." Klein says raising his water glass to Kevin. "They'll run all over you otherwise."
