"But you did. I called you several times, you didn't pick up my calls, and you didn't respond to my messages," he said.
Sharon looked down, abashed.
"I know…I'm sorry about that. I was just, well, scared of Molly," she said truthfully.
She chanced a glance up at Brandon. His expression softened with understanding.
"I told you, there was never anything between me and Molly," he said gently. "But I guess she made it pretty hard on you."
