Betrayal of love

CHAPTER5

Michelle's POV

After some weeks being married to Nathaniel, we acted like strangers towards each other.

Nathaniel made some rules, and we both set our boundaries. It was peaceful and calm.

But I sometimes, regret why I did not try all my possible best to object to this wedding. It was already in the past. I could not change the hands of time.

I visited my two sisters in South Korea for two weeks. I prepared so much for this holiday, and I also did a lot of shopping. I visited the museum, the historical buildings. I tried and ate a lot of Korean snacks. They taste yummy as they watch on the TV.

South Korea had always been a place I would love to travel to, and when I had the opportunity, I made good use of it.

My two sisters planned a birthday party for their 25th birthday. They wanted to celebrate it in grand style.

I was invited, and I couldn't even hide my excitement. I didn't bother telling Nathaniel about it because he never cared about my well-being. So what is the need to inform him?

I only informed my closest worker in the house, Martha. Martha has been supportive of me ever since I got married to Nathaniel.

She has always been there to talk to me whenever I feel depressed or have any issues bothering me.

Martha is a single mother of two. She lost her husband some years ago. Her husband's business crashed, and that was what made her go into the housekeeping job fully in order for her to cater and provide for her two kids.

When I got to South Korea, it felt like I already knew the country. I have been a hard fan of Korean movies for 10 years.

There is this joy that South Korean movies give me. They bring peace to my heart.

My sisters were so happy to see me, they now look like South Koreans. They speak the language so fluently. Their boyfriends are South Korean. What a dream for them !!! We had an amazing and fun time together.

My sisters have all grown in all ramifications; they are no longer the big sisters that I knew some years ago. I am so happy about their growth. They asked me what it feels like to be a married woman. I told them all that had been happening between Nathaniel and I.

The week I came back from South Korea, I went to visit my parents. Business was doing so well for my parents.

My mother, especially, was hale and hearty. I was so happy to see a lot of improvements because we all thought we were going to lose her.

I was able to concentrate on going to my cooking classes. I applied for a cooking competition that was to take place in Germany.

To my surprise, I came in first in that competition. I was given some property as gifts and some cash gifts. Trust me to invest them in my crypto-trading.

Nathaniel started acting weird and abnormal towards me.

Nathaniel started acting nicely; I felt that to be really weird, and it brought back a lot of memories that I just want to forget throughout my life.

Nathaniel ordered Martha to pack all of my clothes into his room. I got so mad and annoyed when I found out.

How could he make such a decision without informing me first?

I confronted him about it, and he claimed that since he was the one who made the rules, he was also capable of breaking them.

"I have just spent some months here," I said in my mind.

I can not wait to pack all of my things from this house and divorce Nathaniel. I just want to leave him out of my life.

Nathaniel decided to employ a personal chef for me. He said that he doesn't want me to go through any stress at all.

I felt so grateful to him for doing that because the catering school is some miles away from the house.

Nathaniel also changed the color of the room to my favorite color, which is blue.

I suddenly had a lot of questions to ask Nathaniel, but I decided to just put them aside.

I just want to serve him the divorce papers in such a way that he won't be suspicious at all.

I decided to ask Nathaniel for money for an advanced cooking class. I was already done with the one that I was doing with the personal chef that he employed for me.

I thought that Nathaniel was going to be reluctant and non-nonchalant about it at first.

But to my greatest surprise, he suggested that we go together to Italy for our honeymoon vacation and for the cooking class.

I rejected this opinion immediately. What is he trying to do?

"Is he trying to take advantage of me again?" He told me to give him some time to think about it and that he would get back to me.
