Chapter Seventeen

1950 Words
While it had been a few days since I was in Luxembourg with Sadie, I still felt like I was on cloud nine. She was warming to the idea of being with me on a more permanent and public basis. I had already made up my mind that she was going to be my old lady, I just needed to wait to claim her. If she was in my bed, I could make the concession and wait. She was made for Club life, and even then, I knew that she was made to be the President’s old lady. Very few women could take on the task, and I also knew that I wanted an equal in running the club. Let's be honest - nothing less would serve for Gunner Priests daughter. She could ride, shoot, throw darts and play pool. She could hold conversation and challenge any one of my men to a debate and probably win. So, I didn’t want her on the sidelines raising babies, I wanted her next to me. Not going to lie though, the thought of her one day carrying my kids settled something in me I never even knew had risen.  I marched towards our private meeting room. Not the one where church was held with all the guys. No, this one was for “friends” of the club. We had a meeting with Harry Po as he was shipping in more guns for us that we were handing over to our Russian counterparts. So far we had done this exercise three times, and all three times it had gone smoothly.  Spyro was already seated at the table, with Ammo standing at the door, whilst Harry helped himself to a cup of coffee. He looked comfortable as f**k, leaning back into tthe soft black leather chair as her strirred his coffee.  “Hello Switch,” Harry greeted. I dipped my head in reply and took a seat. I was always nervous dealing with Harry. If you weren't nervous when it came to Harry it was probably because you were an i***t. And Sadie speaking about him like family? That confused  me and left me feeling uneasy. But, I couldn’t show those nerves, so I sat back in a relaxed posture.  “You look good,” Harry continued, “I’m glad to see that Sadie is treating you well.”  And there it was. The opening to Sadie. I gritted my teeth and tried to remind myself that she viewed this man as an uncle, and I couldn’t allow my temper to get the better of me, blowing this whole deal.  So I smiled. I f*****g smiled at him and said, “Sadie certainly has her moments.” Harry started chuckling, and nodded in agreement.  As the meeting progressed we tallied stock of the guns against what we ordered, and while Spiro and Ammo dealt with double checking that we hadn’t been screwed, I was left to talk shop with Harry.  “You know,” he said, taking a sip of his forth espresso, “Sadie can probably shoot these babies here better than half your men in this club.”  Again, he brought up Sadie. And I couldn’t tell if he was warning me off of her or not.  “She must have had one hell of a childhood with Gunner for a dad,” I simply said.  “”Oh yes,” Harry nodded, “riding is in her nature, and she can throw darts with the boys. But her true talent lies in shooting. The girl simply never misses.”  I narrowed my eyes at him. He wasn’t threatening me, he was positioning Sadie as the threat.  “And I suppose Gunner taught her how to shoot?” I asked. I might as well try and figure out where I stood with Gunner.  “No,” Harry said, “I did.”  It was my turn to laugh.  When the boys had finished tallying up the gun shipment, Harry said his farewells and turned to me.  “You’re going to have to meet Gunner sometime, you know that?”  And finally I saw the message for what it was. Gunner knew about Sadie and I, and he was reminding me that I would have to pass his inspection.  “Yeah, when Sadie’s ready for me to meet her old man, then we’ll take a trip and do it.” I was under no circumstance going to pressure Sadie into introducing me to her father. This whole thing needed to happen on her schedule. As long as she was with me, I wasn’t rushing her into anything she wasn’t comfortable doing.  “I’ll let him know,” Harry said, finally cutting the bullshit.  Once our deal was done, and Harry was safely off our premises, I headed to the bar for a goddamn drink. It took all of five minutes before Spyro seated himself at the bar next to me. We sat in silence, each of us nursing our drinks, until finally Spyro spoke.  “She is Gunner’s daughter, can probably ride a bike with her eyes closed, and she’s been taught how to shoot by Harry Po.” I knew what he was going to say, but I restrained myself and let Spiro talk. “Is she worth it?” he asked. “If things go south between the two of you, and we find ourselves at war with Gunner, would she have been worth it?”  I snarled in response.  “She is mine, you hear me?” I asked. “Worth it or not, she belongs to me, and that makes her worth it.” I breathed out heavily, trying to reel in my rage.  Spyro didn’t back down, instead asking, “Yeah? Does she know this? Because the last time I checked you haven’t put a claim on her, so to the world she’s a free f*****g woman.”  I slammed my beer down, spilling it on the counter and stormed away. Sadie wasn't up for discussion. Not with Harry f*****g Po, not with Spyro, not with anyone.  If I was truthful I would say that I stomped around in an irritable rage for five days straight, but I’m the president of this MC and I don’t have to justify my moods, or anything for that matter, to anyone. I wanted to work out this anger with Sadie underneath me, moaning out my name. But, she was crunching hardcore deadlines and we were knee deep with our own deals. The russians were still weary of us, so a lot of hand-holding needed to be done, and of course the hand-holding couldn’t be done by just anyone, no - they wanted me. It was a show of good faith to have the President broker the deal and pave the way for this friendship. f**k me, but I was feeling anything but friendly at the moment.  I huffed my way towards our basement gym to work my anger and frustration out. Spiro was right to come to me with his concerns, f**k it, in the beginning I had the same concerns. But, the more time I spent with Sadie, the less those concerns somehow seemed to matter. Was I thinking with my d**k? Probably - I mean, have you seen Sadie? But I also truly thought that Sadie would be good for the Club. She would be good for me. I just needed to make sure that s**t didn’t go South between us.  As I punched the bag in a turn of one-one-two, I noticed that Kerri had come downstairs and was standing at the entryway. “Yes?” I grunted out.  She played with a strand of her hair, batting her bambi eyes at me. “Pres, I just came down to see if you’re okay.”  I grunted.  “You seem pretty tense and, well, I’m here for you if you’re looking for a way to work it out.”  You’d be hard pressed to find a brother who hadn’t slept with Kerri. But as the President of the club, I didn’t s**t where I ate. It would make things a hell of a lot more difficult if I ever needed to fire one of the club girls.  “I’m good Kerri.” I spoke, allowing no room for argument.  “You’re still a single man,” she huffed, “I know you have needs.”  “I’m going to say this one more time, do you understand?” I asked, my voice low, “I’m not interested. It is as simple as that Kerri. You’re good here, don’t go f*****g up a good thing.”  Her shoulders slumped as she turned to walk away. “Oh, and another thing,” I said as she turned to look at me, "I'm not single. Spread the word."  I'm pretty sure I saw tears in her eyes, which just made me feel like the bastard I was. I couldn't have this s**t. I couldn't have the distraction of women within the confines of the club throwing themselves at me. Let them know I was no longer single. It didn't matter, I only wanted Sadie anyway.  As if on cue my phone vibrated with a message from her. As I opened up the text I was greeted with a full length photo of her pressed up against the mirror in her bedroom, naked. Her breasts looked f*****g edible, with her n*****s reflected back at her from the mirror. The photo was accompanied by one line - facetime? f**k me if I wasn't going to deliver. I may not be able to be there in person, but I loved watching and hearing her come, and right now, my girl needed me. I stepped through my door frame as she answered with a husky "hello". She angled her phone showing me all of her, and it made me wonder how the hell I'd lasted these five days.  Phone s*x with Sadie was good. I mean any kind of s*x with her was pretty high up there, but she had introduced me to phone s*x in a way I had never experienced before. I suppose the need was never there. Before Sadie, if I wanted to get laid, I would simply go out and get laid. Sadie was a goddess though. For as long as I lived I don't think I would ever be able to get the image of her throwing her head back against her pillow with her fingers sliding in and out of herself as she arched while she came, out of my mind. The girl knew how to give a guy a show. And I was the lucky bastard to receive it.  That afternoon Spyro burst into my office, and seated himself opposite me. He threw a file down on my desk and said, "I know you don't want to talk about her, but you are going to want to know this."  I waved my hands for him to continue as he said, "Billie has been tracking her."  "What?" I blurted out. Few things caught me by surprise, but this - I didn't see coming.  "It looks like she came back onto his radar around the time she appeared at the club." He waited a moment before asking, "You know what that means?"  "We have a f*****g mole," I growled. "But why is Billie even interested in her?" I verbalised my thought.  "I'm not sure, but all the intel I've gathered is that he somehow believes she belongs to him in some way."  I lent my face into my hands. It didn't rain it f*****g poured. Every fibre of my being was screaming for me to drag Sadie back here and keep her safe behind these walls, but I couldn't do that, not when we weren't sure Billie was an actual threat.  "We need to put someone on her," I groaned. It irked me that it couldn't be me, that I wasn't going to be the one to protect her and keep her safe.  "Who you thinking of Switch?" Spyro asked.  "Ammo."  "You sure that's a good idea? I mean don't they have - history?" Spyro asked hesitantly.  "That's exactly why it's a good idea, he'll protect her as more than just a brother sent out on a task, he'll protect her simply because she's Sadie."
