Lost in their own castle part 1

They gobbled them up until there was only one donut left. Phi reached for it __(verb ending in -ly)__ "That one's mine, since I'm the oldest." Hyde grabbed his arm. "That's not fair. You ate more donuts than me!" The brothers bickered about who should get the last donut. Meanwhile, Dr. Evel stepped into the room, walked over to the table, and snatched up the donut. The brothers stared as Evel bit into it. "What?" Evel asked. "There are more donuts in the kitchen. If you'll excuse me, I have a __(science)__ meeting that I would hate to miss." He turned and left. The twins stood frozen for a moment, then Hyde said "We have a kitchen?" __(number)__ minutes later, they were rummaging through paperwork from musty boxes. Phi held up a rodent-chewed page up to the light. "I'm sure Dad has a map of the castle somewhere." Hyde leaned impatiently against the wall. "C'mon, this is taking forever. Let's just explore til we find it. How hard can it be to find a kitchen?" Phi reluctantly __(verb ending in -ed)__. "It can't take as long as sifting through these boxes." They walked through the halls, occasionally glaring at each other. They turned left, right, right, left, __(direction)__. They stepped into a room, and the wall sealed behind them. The room had an infinity stadium in the middle, with a bey spinning endlessly in the center. The ceiling started to lower, and Hyde yelled "Quick! There is a burst sensor and an emergency button that will shut off the ceiling trap! You fight the bey, and I'll find the button!" Hyde began feeling the tiles on the floor, and Phi launched Dread Pheonix at the infinite bey. He attacked aggressively, but the other bey didn't budge. Hyde crawled to a corner of the room and tried to methodically __(verb)__ each tile. The ceiling dropped further and further, until Phi bumped his head and had to crouch as he launched. He yelled "I've had enough of this! Pheonix Break!" And Hyde cried "I found the button!" At the same moment, Hyde pushed the button and Phi burst the infinite bey. They heard clink! And the grinding of gears as the ceiling raised back to it's proper position. "I stopped the trap!" Phi cheered. "No way. I pushed the button first!" Hyde retorted. "You aren't that fast Hyde." Phi fired back. They continued bickering as they continued into the next hallway.... to be continued
