As the sun rose, the first thought that crossed Rose’s mind was to check on Isabella. She quickly freshened up and made her way to Isabella’s room. She knocked several times, waiting, but there was no response. Rose frowned, pressing her ear lightly to the door—silence. She guessed Isabella must still be asleep. It had been late when Ethan informed everyone that Killian had found her, and Rose had tried to stay awake to wait for them, but exhaustion had claimed her around dawn.
