I walked along the halls, searching for my classroom. Room 243. English Language and Linguistics. I got inside and saw a lot of other nervous freshmen's scattered around the classroom. Some talked, some read, some were just spaced out thinking about who knows what. I saw an empty seat next to a guy with brown, curly hair and green eyes next to the window. I walked over and sat. The guy looked at me and shot me a shy smile. "Hi." He said and I looked at him. "Hey. I'm Phil." I said and extended a hand which he confidently took and shook. "Pj." He said and I nodded. "First year huh?" "Yeah, I can already feel the pressure." I chuckled out and he smiled. "The only thing I'm looking forward on this whole day is the lasagna in the cafeteria." He explained and I laughed out. "Extra cheesy!" He exclaimed quietly and I smiled. "You getting any?" He asked. "I really don't think that me being alone in a crowded cafeteria will do wonders to my self-esteem." He explained which made me laugh. "I'll go to keep you company, I guess. I"m not very fond of lasagna since I'm not a big fan of cheese." I explained and then he gave me 'the look'. "Very reasonable reaction, Peej. People look at me like an alien for it." I explained and he laughed. "I mean it is kind of strange but hey we all have our weird dislikes." He explained and I turned to him curious. I was honestly happy he was being friendly with me and I'm gonna need it since my roommate, Dan, is a prick. "What's your weird dislike?" I asked and he looked at me laughing.  "Hard to believe but... I don't like cake." He said and I looked at him wide eyed. "Seriously? Not even cupcakes?" I exclaimed in question and he nodded laughing. "Wow. What a sad life..." I said trying to get a reaction and he just shoved me playfully right as the professor came in. "Morning, class. The name's Morris. Okay since I came a little late and I left my suitcase at home with all my stuff we're just going to start of slow with some poetry." He explained and wrote the instructions on the board. Write a 16 verse poem involving hate and love. A contradicting moment between those to emotions will help extend the knowledge in vocabulary and creativity. I finished writing down the instructions and started writing fast.  I see you laying there, Cold like ice and hot like hell. I want to tell you the truth But what's to tell? Our lives don't collide, Not even by a centimeter. Our points of view are the same, Yet you don't question neither. I'm a fool to fall for you, You're a fool to know. All this hate growing inside me, Won't let me show. I want to run away, That I know is true. But I just can't do it, Because I hate that I love you. I looked at my poem, erased the few smudges, stood up, and handed it to the professor. He looked at me skeptically and took it. "That was quite quick Mr..." "... Lester, sir." I finished for him and he nodded. "Well why don't you go back to your seat and let the other finish?" He said and I nodded slightly and sat back down.  When I got to my seat, Pj looked at me in awe and chuckled. "Mate, you are quick. Show me your ways." He said and I laughed. The rest of the day was boring. I went to lunch with Pj, we talked about random stuff and then went our separate ways. I walked back to my dorm and to my surprise saw Dan sat outside the room, with his body against the door. Once I approached, his eyes met mine and he sighed. "About time." He said and I just looked at him as he got up. "I left my keys inside and I was waiting for you for like bloody 30 minutes." He complained and I didn't talk, I just opened the door and walked inside. "You don't talk much, do you?" He asked and I turned to him. "Um... n-no I guess." I stuttered out and put my book bag on the floor next to my bed and sat on my bed. "Well since we're stuck as roommates I guess I'll just introduce myself." He said and laid back on his bed. "I'm Dan Howell. I'm currently studying law and also have a part-time job as the drummer of a local band in town." He explained and I nodded in understanding. "Well?" He asked. "Well what?" I asked quietly and he chuckled. "Well aren't you gonna formally introduce yourself?" He asked and took out his broken iPod. "Oh um sorry. Well, um, I'm Phil Lester. I'm currently studying English Language & Linguistics and Musical Theater Performance. I have no part-time job so for me it's just school and dorm room." I said and I saw Dan nod in understanding. "Well, Phil Lester. Why don't we listen to some Fall Out Boy? Shall we?"
