Meissa's POV I spent the rest of the night staring at the ceiling fan, wondering what my life would be from that moment. What Logan's reaction will be once he learns I was no longer in Karis Pack. Days passed but I never heard from Raphael, I repeated the same routine for the past ten days; breakfast in bed, sightseeing, game hunting with other werewolves, I wasn't even treated like a prisoner. I was beginning to feel at home, believing my past traumatic life was over. But then, I hadn't heard from my father either. I dressed up, preparing for another hunting game when the lady who had brought me to my room knocked on my door. “Come in.” "Good morning, Luna," she said with a smile. “What is your name?” I had never bothered to ask her name but since she seemed nice to me, I wanted us to be friends. She seemed to be a bit close to one of the Alpha's personal maids and I needed to know if Raphael sent any reply. “Flora,” she said, lowering down her head. “I'm Melissa,” I gestured a handshake to her. “I know who you are Luna,” My cheeks widened as I leaned closer to her, “Call me Melissa,” I said, placing my hands on her shoulder. We both smiled at each other and departed to the field for the hunting game. At Least that's what they called it, we would pair ourselves in two and fight each other, and the winners would pair and still fight each other until just one man was standing. Whenever the alpha was involved, he always emerged as the winner. It was like his alpha powers gave him an advantage or maybe his pack members allowed him to win to avoid embarrassing him. On the other hand, my Luna powers didn't do much for me, it was those with the least strength I could overpower. I didn't know how to take advantage of it yet but I was glad to be learning. “Melissa, We are a Pair today!!” Diego announced. The first time he was talking to me was to embarrass me, why pair with a weak Luna like me? “Alpha of the Crescent Park against Luna of the Karis Pack!!” He continued and the crowd cheered. Diego was twice my size, there was no way I could emerge winner. He stepped forward, leading me to drag my feet backwards. He grabbed my waist and whispered, “Your Alpha has replied.” He then leaned back and growled. My heart skipped a beat, I stood still unable to utter a word. Logan would never agree to return anything for my safety. “What was his reply?” I asked, stepping forward with my feet shaking as I stared at him with wide eyes. “Defeat me and you have your answer.” My heart sank. “You know that is not possible.” He uttered no word, he stood there with his hands folded across his chest piercing his gaze upon me. This has never happened before, he had never given me any attention. He would fight with others but not me. As much as he ordered I will be treated as a guest and not a prisoner yet, he never for once said a word directly to me. I wondered what he was up to. Nevertheless, I knew I had to try, I needed to know Logan's reply. I gasped and targeted a blow to his face but he swung below my fist, dodging it, they cheered and clapped. My feet trembled as I glanced around. I saw their happy faces, they were all beaming except for the faces of two girls who were standing in a corner. One of them was Diego's sister and for some reason best known to her, she hates me. I tried giving out another blow and he dodged it again. “Stop defending! And attack!!” I growled at him. “You're not in the position to tell me how to win, little wolf.” Did he just call me little wolf? Of course, I was little compared to him but hearing him say it ignited a fire within me. I felt an overwhelming urge to prove him wrong, to show him I was more than just a weak Luna. I called upon my wolf form, tapping into my Luna powers, I felt my eyes glowing and in that instance, I launched an attack on him. His eyes were wide open when I jumped on him, he was amazed and fell to the floor as I dragged him to it. He didn't fight back, his grin remained widened while I laid on him, pinning him to the floor. Instead of a cheer, all I heard was murmurings, he then grabbed my waist and turned me to the floor, making my wolf tingle. The crowd gasped. He got up, extending his hands towards me. I took a hold of it and he dragged me up, leaning me towards him. “I won.” He whispered. “How?!! I had you!!” I said, following him as he moved away while the crowd cheered him. "Tell me Logan's reply," I demanded. I balled my hands into fists, fighting to contain my frustration as my eyes darted around. I followed him, trying to meet up with his pace but as I was about to enter his bungalow, the two girls hindered my entrance. "Sorry, Luna," Diego's sister snapped, folding her hands to her chest. I recognized the other girl as Sophia, she won all her pairs the last time she participated. They hailed her calling her Luna, but she wasn't. She had the strength of one, an immense power. If she didn't get her strength from mating with an Alpha then she must be from the line of Betas, a rank of Werewolf known for having an immense strength. "Let me through," I demanded. “Your brother made me a promise!” I was never this brave in Karis Pack, I always allowed everyone to bully me but there was something about this place that was changing me. My wolf thinks it has a connection to Diego, he always made me challenge myself but I think it's my Luna powers taking control. Diego's sister, Ariana, sneered. “You seem to forget that my brother is the Alpha.” “You seem to forget that I'm a Luna and I'm your brother's guest!” Guest? Was I even right to use that term? What could be Logan's reply? My vision suddenly blurred, I felt myself slipping away and I crumpled to the ground, losing consciousness slowly. “What is wrong with her?” She paused, “we have to drag her to the clinic before your brother notices her fall and blames us for it.” I heard Sophia suggesting, her voice was barely above a whisper. “It's just an act, So dramatic of her.” “Ariana, it doesn't matter now. I don't want the Alpha to think we did this to his guest.” I felt the grasp of both ladies trying to lift me, they couldn't at first until Sophia decided to use her wolf form. She carried me single handedly to the clinic. The room was spinning around me, the voices around me grew fainter, I strained to focus, to understand my predicament. I opened my eyes, Flora was standing beside the healer but Ariana and Sophia were not there anymore. “Mother, what is wrong with her?” Flora asked. “She is Pregnant.”
