Chris was walking right behind Quax the Dwarf. The two of them were sliding down a sloping side of a mount, surrounded by tall trees in every direction.  The trees around them had massive barks and they rose up into the sky above the two.  Bright rays of sunlight penetrated through the branches of the trees to illuminate the environment beneath, lighting the way for Chris and Quax. The small path they were walking upon meandered down the steep slope, and the two had to walk from side to side, holding onto tree trunks, to avoid tumbling down the slope.  The ground beneath their feet was covered by a thick layer of dead rotting leaves and twigs.
