"Is it just me, or has Emrys been acting weird lately?" Flora asked as we walked to Runa's room.
"Weird how?" I asked.
Has she picked up on the dark energy too?
After that weird breakfast, how could anyone not? Reika asked sarcastically.
"He's like... I don't know. Something about him seems... off." Flora replied with a confused expression.
Runa waved her off as we stepped into her little apartment.
"It's just this messed-up mate-bond. It'll pass. He'll go back to normal after his ceremony," she said confidently.
Flora and I shared a look. Neither of us were too sure about that. I wanted to be. I want Emrys to be okay, to be happy. Something just... doesn't feel right.
"So, how much closer are you to that potion?" Runa asked when we made it to her apartment.
I blew out a breath.
