“Sir, the interviewees are here.”
Lilian, my secretary, said as I made my way out of a two-hour-long meeting with some investors about my next project. I was exhausted beyond words and all I wanted to do was go home and take a long ass nap.
“Send them home,” I replied curtly. It was only noon, but I was already tired. Mostly because I had been awake most of last night, thanks to Carter and Gunner and of course…Lexi, whom I couldn't stop thinking about after last night's almost kiss. I was so close to getting her. She was stubborn, but that was the appeal.
