“Rhea!” I said as soon as Rhea picked up the call.
I had been trying to reach her ever since Richard dropped me off and left for his meeting an hour ago.
“Hey, how are you enjoying the first day of work?” Rhea asked in her usual sweet voice. Oblivious to my anger
“I am not,” I said flatly.
There was a pause.
“Oh, well, I'm sorry to hear that. Is your boss an ass?”
“Worse,” I gritted out, impatience taking over me. The image of meeting the man I had slept with assaulted my eyes and I felt the urge to cry.
“Oh, do we need to sue or?” she asked, her voice a little strained with worry. Gone was the sweet voice.
“If I could sue you and Eve, I f*****g would.”
