“Where the hell have you been? I've been waiting for you!” I snapped at Jace as soon as I opened the door and found him standing at the doormat.
“Sorry, had a few errands to run,”
“Nothing illegal I hope,”
“I'm never going to live this down with you am I?”

“I figured. Anyway, let's go. I'll tell you about on the way,”

“You really think they will work?” Jace asked.
“Well, we don't have a choice now do we?”

“Mom called last night.”
“She did? What did she say?”
*She said not to tell you but she was rushed to the hospital last night,”
