Chapter Five When she’d regained the ability of conscious thought, she found she had been peddling on the bike for twenty minutes. Abbey wiped her face with the hand towel and slung it over the handlebars. She’d needed to move after speaking with Quinn. Needing to rid herself of the twisting in her stomach she peddled faster. She’d been a fool to fall for the last guy that had looked at her like Quinn. There’d been nothing but ridicule behind Mark’s smile. When it was over, she’d hit the ground hard and she wasn’t going to be a fool a second time around. She’d been naïve then, but she’d learnt enough to know what lurked behind some smiles.
