The day had dragged on, the halls were full of teens trying to get to their next classes, albeit slowly. Liliana had managed to get through most of the day without being noticed by those who picked on her especially Nathan. She had avoided him like a disease, trying not to think about their little confrontation two days ago.
She arrived at her class and realized that she shared it with the boy she really did not want to see. Despite her feelings, she sucked it up and went right in passing Nathan quickly. He just watched her, which Liliana found strange. She expected him to call her out infront of the class, ridicule and torment her, but nothing happened. It was just strange.
'Maybe all he needed was to have some sense knocked into him, at least to make him think about what he's doing wrong,' Liliana thought boring holes into him with her stare, rolling her eyes at the thought and chuckling in her head, 'As if"

Nathan drummed his fingers on the table, glancing back at the unbothered girl a few times, well, more than a few times. He had waited the entire day to hear, or see?, an apology from her. But there she sat unbothered. He felt off for most of the day, unsure why, it's just...had his words hurt her so much that she thought it was okay to slap him? His fingers tapped his desk much harder now. He surely needed an apology from her. It's what he deserved at least that's what he thought.
So he waited until school ended, then went to the library. He knew she'd be there, don't ask how he knew that. He searched throughout the large library until he spotted the brunette resting her head on the table. He stomped up to her ready to confront her but when he saw her peacefully just resting he didn't. He couldn't. He clicked his tongue before sitting down.
Liliana intrigued him. He'd done so much to hurt her before. She'd never stood up to him and two days ago when she did it felt weird. It most definitely hurt. He felt the pain just thinking about it.
He spent the next half-hour scrolling away on his phone, and staring at her. Call him a creep. He would most definitely himself that, but it felt wrong to just leave so he stayed.
A chair pulled out harshly caused him to look up. The girl had awoken, but she was startled. He could see her slight trembling hands. Despite all this he just uttered a measly, "Hey"
Liliana looked upon him perplexed. Why was he here? Were his lackeys around?
"A normal person would greet back," he said again, putting his phone down and leaning his face on his hand. Liliana's eyebrows furrowed further. She took the closest pen and paper to her, quickly scribbling down something before shoving it in his face. 'Why are you here?' she had written. Even in her haste to write it down he noted that her had writing hand been neat.
"Still no hey, hello?" He lifted an eyebrow looking at her expectantly. She in turn rolled her eyes, before writing a 'Hello,' him smiling though not quite knowing why.
"Thank you. Now to the question. I'm here to accept your apology," he said as a fact.
'My apology?' She raised her eyebrow, her face getting flushed.
"I really don't like repeating myself, but yes my apology. It was really not cool to slap me like two days ago. It still hurts by the way," he went on not really stopping, causing Liliana to stop and process what he was saying.
'And why do you deserve an apology?' she asked rhetorically. "You hit me" he said blankly, 'Yeah, well, you don't deserve one, and even if you did you would need to earn one,' he read her writing out loud.
"So I need to earn one." Liliana looked at him crazily. She had not been serious about it at all,but now she regretted saying that by the look that he gave her.
"Ok, I'll earn that apology from you, you better not back down," he left as soon as he was done uttering those words. The brunette watched him leave. She had no idea what was happening in this moment, and all she could think was,
'What had she just gotten herself into?'
