Stavros emailed her the details, and an hour or so later Jackie was back at the Mallard Hotel. She was on a different floor this time, but everything else felt very familiar. She arrived at the room number she'd been given, and she knocked gently on the door. She saw the peephole darken momentarily, as her date checked to see who was there. Then the door opened.
And Marcus was stood in front of her.
"Hi." He said, sheepishly.
"Marcus?"
"Hello, Mom."
"What's going on?"
"I wanted to...talk."
Jackie looked at him with an inquisitive eye. He wants more than just that, she thought to herself.
"Okay then, let's talk."
