I see you

Sienna’s POV THE waiter immediately approached us after Samuel called him over. He handed us the menus and we began looking through the options. A few minutes, we finally decided what to order. I had my menu back to the waiter, and Samuel did the same. The water left us to get our orders. “Do you like this restaurant?” He suddenly asked. “Of course,” I replied with a smile. “How many times have you been here?” “Almost ten times. It's Mom and Dad favorite restaurant, so I thought I'd bring you here.” “We should've been coming here whenever we went out before,” I told him. “I prefer letting you choose the restaurant we go,” He said. “Next time, we should come here whenever we go out.” I glanced around the restaurant again, letting my eyes wander across the room. Then, my gaze suddenly stopped on a man sitting in the corner. He was staring directly at me, his brows furrowed and his jaw clenched. I could feel the coldness in his gaze even from across the room. I couldn't tell whenever he was angry or something else entirely. That was simply the expression he wore as he continued staring at me. My brows furrowed slightly. Was it just a coincidence that he happened to be here? I glanced at the waiter as she approached our table. She carefully placed each dish in front of us, one by one and once she had finished serving everything, she politely excused herself and walked away. I looked back toward the spot where the man had been sitting earlier, only to be surprised when I realized she was no longer there. “Sienna, what's wrong?" Samuel asked. I looked at him. “Nothing,” I replied, shaking my head. “Then let's just eat,” He said with a small nod. We started eating, talking and laughing between bites. Samuel wasn't just my boyfriend—he was my fiance. In just a few months, we would finally be getting married. “Next week, we'll visit your parents," He said. “You don't have to if you're too busy. You know how much work you have.” “We don't get to visit them very often, so I don't think it's too much to ask that I put us first for once," He said with a smile. “That's fine with me,” I replied. The minutes passed quickly, and after we finished our meal, we finally left the restaurant. I couldn't explain why, but I had this strange feeling that someone was watching me. I kept glancing around as we walked toward Samuel’s parked car. When we reached it, he opened the passenger door for me. I got in, and he walked around to the other side before taking his seat behind the wheel. The drive home was unusually quite. For the first time, I couldn't shake the strange feeling that something was wrong. There was something unsettling about our surroundings, but I couldn't quite figure out what it was. Lost in my thoughts, I didn't realize we had already arrived in front of our house. I was about to open the door when I suddenly felt Samuel’s hand gently take mine. I looked at him. “I’m getting out,” I said. “Tell me. You've been quite this whole time. Is something wrong?” He asked. I hadn't expected him to notice. “This is the first time you've been this quiet during one of our drives.” I swallowed hard. How was I supposed to tell me him what I was feeling? “I have a feeling that someone was following us,” I finally admitted. His face immediately filled with confusion. “Did you see anyone?” “I’m not sure.” “Maybe you're just tired," He said gently. “You should get out and go inside. You need to get some rest.” I nodded, but even as I stepped out of the car, the uneasy feeling in my chest remained. I gave him a faint smile. “Okay. I guess so.” “Good night," He said before leaning over to kiss my forehead. “Good night, too. Drive safely,” I told him. I got out of the car and glanced back at him before finally heading inside. As soon as I entered, I saw Elara sitting on the sofa, eating popcorn as usual. “Samuel, brought you home?” She asked when she noticed me. “Yes,” I replied. “Ahh.” She nodded slowly before taking another handful of popcorn. “Did you two eat out?” “yes.” “Too bad. I made something really delicious for dinner.” She pouted, sounding genuinely disappointed. “It’s not going to waste. I'll just eat it tomorrow. For now, I'm going upstairs,” I told her. “Okay. Oh, by the way, you never told me you had a secret admirer.” I stopped just as I was about to walk away. “A secret admirer?” She quickly nodded. “Yes. Look at this. He sent you a bouquet of flowers—and there's chocolate and letters, too.” She reached under the table and pulled out the bouquet. My brows furrowed as I stared at the flowers in her hands. “These are beautiful. Whoever sent these must be pretty rich. Just look at them!” She said admiringly. “Just throw it away. Or, if you want it, you can have them,” I told her. “You don't like these? What a waste. But it's fine, I'll take these. I'm definitely not throwing these away. That would be such a waste.” I simply continued walking toward the stairs. This was the second time he had done this, and I was honestly no longer amused by it. If anything, it was starting to worry me. I went into my bedroom and tossed my bad onto the bed. I changed out of my clothes, I walked over to my closet and picked out something comfortable to wear. Once I had changed, I went into the bathroom. I walked over to the sink, turned on the faucet, and splashed cold water onto my face. I lifted my gaze to the mirror. I rested my hands on the sides of the sink and stared at my reflection of a moment. Once I was satisy, I reached for the towel hanging beside me and wiped my face. I hung the towel back in its place, then picked up my toothbrush. I applied some toothpaste and began brushing my teeth. When I finished, I left the bathroom. I walked over to the window to get some fresh air, but my brows furrowed when I noticed an unfamiliar black car parked nearby. It wasn't too far from here. I stared at it for a few seconds before slowly closing the window. I then walked over to my bed and sat down. For a moment, I decided to take my phone from my bag and scroll through it. As I scrou, a message suddenly popped up on my screen. Unknown. I hesitated for a few seconds before tapping on it. “I see you...” I read the message from the unknown number. My brows immediately furrowed. I quickly stood up and opened the window again, looking torward the car I had seen earlier. Just before the car window closed, I caught a glimpse of half of his face. I couldn't make out the features clearly, though, especially since the car was parked some distance away. A few moments later, the car slowly began to move. I watched as it gradually drove farther away until it eventually disappeared from my sight. “Could that be the unknown person who messaged me? And if it is, then maybe he's the same man who has been sending me flowers,” I murmured, a slight frown on my face. I couldn't fall asleep right away because I couldn't stop thinking about that man. Like, what the fvck was wrong with him? What kind of mindset did he have to make him stalk me like that? I was starting to get scared. What if one night, someone suddenly grabbed me while I was walking home alone? Or worse, what if someone managed to sneak into my room without me even noticing? The next morning, I woke up feeling sleep-deprived. I had only managed to fall asleep at dawn because I spent most of the night overthinking about that man. I slowly sat up, rubbing my eyes as I tried to wake myself up. My gaze drifted toward the window, which was still open. “Didn't I close this before I went to sleep?”
