Erza's heart raced as she raced down the road in her car, desperate to escape the danger that lay behind her. She had no idea who was coming after her or why, but she couldn't shake the feeling that someone was following her. Despite the terror, she pushed her foot down even harder on the gas pedal, determined to put as much distance between herself and her pursuer as she could. Erza's mind was racing as she stepped inside her house, the memories of the encounter still fresh in her mind. She was used to dangerous situations, but this one had taken her by surprise, and she hated being caught off-guard. Still, she refused to let her emotions show. She had to remain strong, for herself and for her best friend, who was waiting for her on the other side of the door. She knocked softly, and as soon as her friend opened the door, she saw her stare at the blood on Erza's shirt in shock. "Erza, what happened?" she asked, her voice filled with worry. Erza took a deep breath, determined not to let her emotions get the better of her. She knew that she had to remain calm, even as the adrenaline from the encounter still coursed through her veins. "It's not mine," she said, gesturing to the blood. "I got into a fight, but I'm fine." "You said you are fine but look at the wound on your right shoulder.", Her friend pressed her right shoulder "Arghh! It hurts, don't press it, Rose. God, It hurts so badly",Erza screams in pain. "Hahaha serve you right!". Rose bursts out laughing then she sighs ."Well, we need to get that cleaned up," she said, motioning to the bathroom. "I've never seen you come back from a mission like this before. I hope it never happens again." Erza slumped back in her chair and let out a deep breath, fatigue weighing heavily on her body. It had been a long, grueling day, and she was ready for it to be over. She turned to her friend. "This task I'm working on... it's my last one, you know? It's not going to be easy," Erza said with a sigh. "But I'm determined to see it through, no matter what." Rose nodded, understanding the significance of the moment. They both knew that this task would be a critical one, and it would require all of Erza's skills and potentials to complete it. "Rose, how long are you planning to be an assassin too?" Erza asked Rose. "I'm not sure," Rose replied as she sat down on the couch next to Erza. "It's all I've ever known, really. I'm good at it and it pays the bills. Plus, the thrill of the hunt is intoxicating." Erza nodded, recognizing the passion in Rose's voice. "I understand that," she said. "But don't you ever get tired of it? All the killing?" Rose was silent for a moment, lost in thought. "I suppose I do sometimes," she admitted. "But it's a way of life, you know? It's all I've ever known. The only way out is to give up everything I've worked for, and I'm not sure I'm ready to do that." Erza nodded, understanding Rose's dilemma. "I get it," she said. "It's a tough choice to make." "Well, tell me about your last mission, Erza" Rose wanted to know how strong her opponent is. "Urghhh, I wanna take a bath first." Erza went to the bathroom and left Rose alone. *** Erza and Rose were both assassins, but Erza was far more highly skilled than her. Despite the gap in their abilities, they sometimes found themselves working together on difficult assignments. Rose was a talented assassin in her own right, with a reputation for completing her assignments with efficiency and grace. She moved quietly and purposefully, her movements almost dancing as she avoided the notice of her targets. Her accuracy was legendary, and she was known for her ability to strike with deadly precision. But Erza was in a league of her own. She was a force to be reckoned with, with a strength and resilience that was unmatched. She moved with the grace of a cat, her combat skills honed to perfection by years of training and practice. She was a true warrior, with a fierce determination to succeed on every assignment. Despite their differences, Erza and Rose had formed a close bond over the years. They understood each other's strengths and weaknesses, and had learned to work together seamlessly to complete their missions. It was a partnership that had proven itself time and again, and they both knew that they could always count on each other in the most dire of situations. Erza has taken a bath. Then, she went to her room. She looks at her reflection in the mirror. "Ahh! It hurts so bad", she shouted as she rubbed her medicine over her injured shoulder. Knock.. knock "Come in", Erza let Rose come into her room. "Erza, It looks so bad. You should go to hospital and have a check up", Rose slightly worried about her best friend's health. "I don't want to, it's okay, I'm fine." Erza refused her "Up to you then. What is your last mission huh?" Rose gives her an annoying look. "Ugh.. I need to kill an annoying mafia boss. I fought a lot of his underling and got this wound. His underling is too much for me to handle. I don't know what's reaction of our boss if he knew about this." Erza sighed, her mind racing with thoughts of what lay ahead. "Really?! Why does our boss want you to kill that mafia?" Rose wonders why their boss eagerly wants Erza to kill the mafia boss. "I don't know what is going on with him? You know.. his attitude is so much different from before." Erza sighed, she slightly worried about her last task. "Why don't you ask him?" Rose asked her with an annoying face. "I do but he told me that this is none of my business, what's gotten into him huhh?!", Erza suddenly feels mad at her boss's attitude toward her. "Hmm…well, do you know any information about this mafia guy?!", asked Rose. Rose seems to be interested in her new opponent. "No. Why do you seem to be interested in this mafia guy?!" Erza seems to be confused by her best friend. Just what got into her ? Why did she ask me about the mafia guy? Rose burst out laughing."I didn't like him. I didn't know his face either . I just want to know how strong he is." "He is so handsome and all the girls at the party cling to him, and to answer your question, he is pretty strong. Plus, he has a lot of underlings." said Erza "Ouh. By the way Erza, I'm not at home tomorrow for two weeks, our boss's going to send me to Montpellier," Rose suddenly remembered about her new task. She needs to go somewhere else far away from here to complete her task. "Oh, take care then, Rose." Aw I won't be able to comfort you so don't be a crybaby." Rose said jokingly. "I'm not a crybaby but you are" Erza and Rose. They both laugh together and enjoy their moment before they go to sleep.
