DYLAN & ZOEY

His left hand on my butt cheek. I knew immediately that it was by mistake, my breath hitched, I regretted why I had chosen to be here today. My hair parked in a bun suddenly went loose. “I’m so sorry,” I whispered, trying to pull back without making it worse. His hands came up to steady me, one lightly on my waist. “Careful,” he said in that low voice. It was the same tone he’d used the day before. The most romantic voice any man had ever used for me. Around us the room went quiet for a moment. I could feel people looking. Mr. Smith cleared his throat behind me, probably trying to save the situation. I finally stepped back, “I’m so sorry. Mr. Dylan” my face turning into a pleading one almost immediately smoothing my blouse with shaky hands. Dylan’s expression didn’t change much, but the corner of his mouth lifted just a little just as if he found the whole thing amusing. “Miss Zoey,” he said, like he was testing my name. “We meet again. And sincerely, there’s no need for the apology because I could do this all day if you let me. And.. you smell really nice” He winked at me. My brain short-circuited. Of course he remembered me. But is he really trying to flirt with me in front of this whole people? “Thank you”.. i said calmly. While he turned and walked over to the head table where he was supposed to be seated earlier on. Dylan again sitting in the most important meeting of my second day and I didn’t know how to feel about it. Smith stepped forward smoothly. “Mr. Owen. Good to see you. This is my new assistant, Zoey. She’s been a great help preparing the files.” Dylan’s eyes flicked to Smith, then back to me. “I can see that.” “Are you alright? You look flushed and red”.. Smith asked. His hand placed on my shoulder.. I robbed my cheeks, smiling awkwardly. “Yes, I am fine”.. Dylan eyes still lingered and he looked a little pissed Smith was touching me. “Smith? You and your assistant seemed really close. Is that something I should be worried about?”.. “No. No. Nothing to worry about and I’m engaged sir. She is just good at her work”… “I hope it ends in the office. Remember no office romance”.. smiling. Mr. Smith smiled, “she is just a junior colleague”.. I somehow managed to follow Smith to the table, he pulled my seat as a gentleman and gestured I sat down and I did without falling again. Dylan’s eyes still focused on me while I packed my hair back up exposing my neckline. My pulse was still racing. Every time I glanced up, Dylan was already looking at me. Not in an obvious way, but enough to make it hard to focus. The presentation started. Smith did most of the talking while I handed him the right documents and answered the few questions directed at me. My voice stayed steady, but inside I was a mess. I kept replaying the moment I fell into him. The way his body felt solid under my hands. The way he didn’t step away right away. Forty minutes into the meeting, Dylan seemed quite impressed with Mr. Smith’s performance and his ability to go straight to point giving strategic answers towards every problem. “I think this is the most impressive performance amongst others. Do you all agree?”.. he asked, the other professionals. “Yes sure. Well done Mr. Smith” one of the brunette ladies said out loud. Who has been solely into Dylan the whole time like she could undress him in the room and have him all to herself. But I noticed he never looked her way once. “So what summary do you have to give is on this topic” He asked looking at me. “Uhmmm,” I stuttered. “Do you think letting clients have more accounts opened in one place is necessary or do you think it’s more work?”.. “Keeping up with the maintenance can be challenging but if they’re willing. Then it’s totally worth it. More money for the growth of the company, more money for the clients. And as far as others has equal opportunity to having more than one account they can maintain”.. “I totally agree”.. Dylan said. Went on to summarize for the day. When the meeting finally ended, people started packing up. Dylan stayed seated a little longer than the others. As Smith and I prepared to leave, he spoke again. “Miss Zoey. A word?” Smith glanced at me, then at him, and gave a small nod before stepping outside to give us space. I stood there, heart hammering, while Dylan rose from his chair. “So I assume you know who I am now?”.. tucking his hands into his slack and facing the window backing me. “Yes, I do”… Then he turned and walked up to me, tucking the strand of hair on my face behind my ear. “Do you have any romantic partner?”.. “Wait! Are you flirting with me Mr. Dylan”.. “You can call me Dylan from now on. So are you seeing anyone?”… “Why are you asking?”… “That’s not an answer to my question”.. he said, giving that possessive expression. “What makes you think I’d answer such question?”.. He came closer to me, his warm minty breath hitting my face. “Because I asked and you dare not leave my questions unanswered”.. He grabbed me by my waist, “or you will be punished.” “Mr. Dylan?”… “Dylan.” He corrected. “I want you, Zoey. In my bed, moaning my name. Your body trembling, your legs hanged and curled in the air, your p***y wet and dripping. Your eyes on me, yearning for me while I show you no mercy. And I don’t think I want anyone claiming ownership of you or your body while I do that”.. I was stunned, angry and most importantly I was aroused. “You can’t have such power of ownership over me. Wake up from your day-dreaming”.. A smile crossed his face and made him so attractive. I have never seen a man be so brutal, proud and possessive, yet so beautiful with his words. My heart was beginning to pound even more. In between my clenched thighs was throbbing, my n*****s were suddenly hard that it was showing through my blouse. “I promise you one thing. I will get you into my bed. But for now I will let you be”.. “You can try all you want. I promise you that you are never getting a chance with my coochie. Not now not ever”.. “Until next time, Mine. But for now, you should watch your step,” he said quietly. There was that almost-smile again. “Though I didn’t mind the welcome.” I opened my mouth, then closed it. Nothing smart came out. He picked up a folder from the table and walked past me toward the door. As he passed, his voice dropped even lower. “See you around, Zoey.” Then he was gone, leaving me standing in the middle of the meeting room with my face on fire and my legs still shaky. Smith poked his head back in. “Everything alright?” “Yeah,” I said, though my voice sounded strange even to me. “Everything’s fine.” We rode the elevator back down in silence.
