ZILD’S POV
Earlier, I left my mother and Lira together, due to the sudden attack of the poisons creeping around my body. I had to take so many medicines and injections to combat the excruciating pain lingering.
Ever since I met Lira again, I know that she is not here to be married. She is here for a mission. A mission to be rejected. I can hear that in her thoughts.
I have suffered so much when Lira left. I was originally planning to reject her in front of our subjects when she comes back but hearing that rejecting her will make her happy then my mind instantly change plans.
I will hinder her happiness. No matter what it takes, I already suffered more than enough but for revenge, I will take more of it.
“Yes, Dad?” Uncle, Lira’s dad called.
Ever since Lira disappeared, Uncle gave me the assurance that I am the only son in law he will accept that is why he insisted on being called dad.
“Lira is outside. We did not take her in. I know this will be too much to ask but can you accompany her? She knows no one here, she doesn’t have single friend in our pack.”
She did not even bother to pay her respect to me. She just left again, like how she did years ago. I wonder what she and my mom have talked about. I guess that I have to find out tomorrow but for now, I need to tend to her.
“ Of course, I will pick her up. She is still my Luna and my responsibility. Thank you for informing me. I will take my leave now.” I was about to put my phone down when Uncle stopped me.
“wait!”
“Before you do that. I would like to apologize again for my daughter’s behavior. If you will reject her, it will be you decision to make.” He added. Ever since Lira left me, her parents held themselves accountable for that and up until now, they have been apologizing non-stop. Fearing I might punish their beloved daughter.
“I understand that.”
She was like a stray human strolling on the street when I found her. I brought her to the only house I could bring her in— our supposed to be marriage house.
“W-Wait? This is a marriage house?. Our marriage house!??” I smile as I heard her address the house as ours.
Her eyes was struck with both surprised and amazement. This is the house I planned to settle her in— just us, with the thought of maybe we can grow and learn to love each other. I may have looked at her as a escape from my tiresome role in the kingdom but I crafted this manor with all the thoughts of living a better life with her, with my mate.
All of those were poured into drain.
“It is now, not. We never got married so I made this as my relaxation house.” I butted in, I gesture the maid to take her leave.
She looks around, enjoying the view she has. “ It still had a purpose. This place looks relaxing, perfect for its role.”
My thoughts come to at halt as I look at her in the eyes. “When I was doing this, I promise to only bring one woman here and that is you, the woman I was suppose to marry.” I chuckle.
“I finally have you here, the only difference is that we never had the marriage. It feels oddly satisfying to finally have you here.”
The more I talk, the more I cannot recognize where these words are coming from, my heart’s pounding against my chest.
Fvck, Zild! This is not you! Calm the fvck down, man!
“This is really good a good place. I will give you that, without a doubt. However, I am bound to leave so please look after your feelings.” I saw her hit her lower lip, I instantly diverted my gaze. “By the way, where do I sleep.”
I cleared my throat. “ This place has only 1 master bedroom and 8 other rooms.”
She smiled. “That’s great. Which room can I use?”
“There is no available room aside from the master bedroom. I have 8 maids here and when you left and this place seems to be bound to be abandoned, I decided to let hire help and let them occupy this place while I am gone. The master bedroom is for us.”
She laugh, awkwardly as she approach the sofa nearby. She sat on it and did a few little jumps. “This sofa is great. I can sleep on this one for tonight. You are the owner of the house and you deserve to sleep on the sofa.”
“This house is yours as well. It was designed for you, Lira.”
