Rolf's POV. The carriage jolted forward as I slammed the door shut. "Faster." I barked at the guard, my voice sharp with fury. He flinched but nodded, snapping the reins to quicken the horses' pace. I leaned back, running a hand through my hair in frustration. My mind was full of anger and disbelief. How did it come to this? How had she—Diana, of all people—pulled this off? From right under my roof too? My chest tightened, and the thought made me want to rip something apart. It had been like any other day.
