~ Diana’s POV ~
I was left breathless as he yanked me off my feet pulling me into an embrace, his hot breath fanning into my neck which left nothing to the electrifying jolt that ran through my body. He cupped my cheeks kissing me on the forehead as he released me from the embrace.
“I was so worried, you nearly gave me a heart attack”, Lucian whispered into my ears and I giggled at how close he was to shedding tears.
My father cleared his throat and I face-palmed, my cheeks reddening in embarrassment as people whispered at our display.
“You guys get yourself a room”, My father raised an eyebrow beaming with smiles and Lucian chuckled at his words, his laugh sending warmth and sounding like soft music in my ears, I looked at our fingers intertwined as he led me to a secluded sitting area.
“I so much missed you”, He cupped my face inching closer, and my heart grew wide as he leaned down, clashing his lips on me.
I groaned, an electrifying jolt running across my body. An unfamiliar feeling crept in, a feeling I hadn't felt in ages even from my first mate. He leaned into me pressing his hard crotch in my aching throbbing center and I let out a slight moan.
My heartbeat racing in my ribcage with the fluttering in my stomach which gave my breath away as I couldn't utter a word as he stared intently at me.
This isn't supposed to be me, I also have a mate. Why do I feel like s**t? It actually felt like I was cheating on Alpha Rolf but I was in another body now. Does it still matter?
“You're distracted, princess”, Lucian bit into my earlobe and I moaned, snapping from my thoughts.
“I heard you have something to tell me. He questioned, raising a brow. His golden eyes gleamed under the moonlight, I was so distracted looking at his perfectly chiseled face with a defined jawline. I thought Alpha Rolf was the most handsome man I had ever met—
He pinched my cheeks snapping me out of my reverie, a grin spreading across his face.
“You tell me what you are thinking about when I am here”, Lucian teased, his husky voice sending shivers down my spine doing wonders to my body.
“It seems you are lost, Princess. Let me help you find your way back”, Lucian whispered, his hands snaking down under the hem of my skirt, down to my thighs. I was dripping wet trying to stifle my moan as he continued his little tortuous teasing. I buried my face on his chest to hide my flushed cheeks.
Lucian was indulging me but what if I want to, what if I want to be sinfully indulged? He isn't my mate but his name does wonders to my body let his touch. Just living in another's body, I felt like a whole different person. I am envious, she has a father who doted on her, a powerful figure. Her beauty is out of the world with a supporting mate who loves her to the moon and peak.
I let out a whimpered cry reminiscing of my life compared to Malia’s.

No one wants you, even your mate”, Those countless teases about my background, the insults, the abuses I suffered at the hands of Alpha Rolf's mother-in-law and his girlfriend. I always felt ashamed that my mate has a girlfriend but it was a term I got to accept when his father insisted he should accept me as his mate and he bluntly refused.
Lucian wiped a tear that slipped from my eyelid, his face contorting into a deep frown narrowing his eyes.
“What's wrong? Are you still hurting? Where are you hurting? Did you feel discomfort anywhere? Should we go back to the main house?”Lucian bombarded me with questions, his chest rising and falling and his heartbeat quickened.
“Hey, I am okay”, I found my voice, reassuring him resting my head on his racing chest.
“Are you sure?”, Lucian questioned, furrowing his brows as he checked my temperature on the forehead.
“I am absolutely fine– I was… I don't know”, I tore away from his gaze.
“Look at me princess, I am always here for you. You're fine now, nothing is gonna happen to you again. I would make sure of that, I know you're worried about the physician's report, trust me. They informed me you have healed completely which is a miracle, a miracle I had been hoping for.
Those moments when you were lying down and I couldn't do anything, Princess. I felt like the worst man on earth, watching you suffer every day. I wished I could replace my life with yours. You're fine now and I would make it up to you for all that time”, Lucian promised, his gaze darkening as he pulled me into a tight embrace whispering sweet nothings to me.
My chest tightened and I couldn't wave out the knots forming in my stomach. It must be from Malia's wolf, Celeste. Lucian snuggled me, his hands caressing my waist.
Just then, I heard a ferocious loud growl from behind and I was yanked away from Lucian’s embrace. I was met with piercing stony orbs boring into my soul. My heart quickened as I felt a tightening on my chest and I clutched my chest, my knees going numb.
“Mate”, I growled so loudly going down on one knee before I had time to process anything, Alpha Rolf rushed into Lucian who had me in his arms. He threw him a punch and Lucian's face whipped to the other side.
“Took you long enough”, a voice chimed in my ears so loud I had to block my ears.
I turned back and forth, seeing the two Alphas throwing punches at each other but my head was banging and I felt my consciousness slipping away from me.
“What's Alpha Rolf doing here? Why's he so furious–
“Of course, he would be. Because he caught his mate in another man's hands”, The voice said out loud in my mind, this isn't Malia's wolf sound.
“Who the hell are you? Why are you speaking in my head?”, I questioned.
“I am your wolf, Renee”, The voice added, and I disregarded the voice.
The two Alphas were still throwing punches. Their claws were out, it would only be a few minutes before they would let their wolves out, I managed to stand up as pack members started to gather.
“STOP”, I howled out and they both cast their glances at me, my voice echoing.
A tear slipped from my eyes seeing the battered face of Alpha Rolf, the old me would have rushed to him with concerns.
“What the hell did you want here? Alpha Rolf”, My voice thundered, my lips slightly trembling.
“Mate”, He strode towards me, his gaze fixated on me as he kneeled right in front of me.
I widened my eyes, my jaws hanging in the air. Alpha Rolf wouldn't ever kneel for me, is he freaking out of his damn mind. My eyes darted to Lucian who furrowed his brows, a slight cut on his lips.
“Mate?”, I called out more like a question raising a brow.
“Yes, he's our mate”, The monotone voice in my head answered my question. I scrunch my nose, my eyes blinking as I couldn't decipher the situation. Alpha Rolf on his knees for me.
Did he still recognize me as his mate? Alpha Rolf interrupted me from my thoughts placing his hands on mine. A magnifying spark spread across my body and I yanked my hands back.
“Mate”, He called out again in a low breathy voice.
“I am not your mate”, I snapped, glaring at me, he has never treated me as one.
“Alpha Malia, you're my mate. You wouldn't deny it. You know it”, He let out a heavy breath and I stared blankly.
Did he just call me by Malia's name?, He didn't call me Diana.
“The mate bond will always be alive”, The voice in my head started again.
“Would you please stop, Celeste–”,
“I am not, I am Renee. Your wolf”, The voice replied and I furrowed my brows but then I realized I had been talking out loud. Was I really conversing with my wolf in my head and not Malia's wolf?
I shook my head in disbelief, backing away but Alpha Rolf stood straight up dashing towards me. I flinched from his touch, his touch felt foreign to me. But I had no choice even if I had him as a mate, he had lost his chances.
“I, Malia King of the Crescent Moon Pack reject you Alpha Rolf Eugene Oregon of the Raven's Peak Pack as my mate”, All that filled the air were gasps from every corner.
Alpha Rolf's face contorted into a frown, my heartbeat quickened and I slumped, knees giving way.
Maybe this is my revenge. I enveloped the darkness that followed.
