CHAPTER SEVEN Sammy Wynn walked into the living room of Paula's apartment with a glass of milk and some cookies she had baked an hour before. Careful not to spill the milk, he set the glass on the coffee table and then searched for a magazine to read. He was humming an unfamiliar tune, unaware that he made any sound at all. His first night in bed with Paula had ended at eight o'clock that morning and they had not slept at all. Sammy had never known a woman like her, and knew he could never find another. She had made him happy for the first time in his life, and could barely remember feeling any other way. Picking up a copy of Life he settled back into the big easy chair and picked up his glass of milk. He had nothing else to do until Paula came back from the store except read and relax,
