Chapter 10 NICK landed in Portland during a rainstorm. He knew weather like this was typical for the Pacific Northwest, but the deluge didn't make this little assignment any better. Airport construction forced the passengers to walk across about twenty feet of runway. During that short twenty foot space, Nick got thoroughly soaked.
