The water from the shower was comforting me. I stood beneath the hot water of the shower, letting the steam and heat envelope me as tears streamed down my face. The sound of the water hitting the tiles was comforting,but it did little to drown out the sobs that wracked my body. My hands were pressed against the cold tiles, and I couldn't help but wonder how long I had been standing there, letting the water wash away my tears. The pressure of the water was almost suffocating, but it was a welcome distraction from the pain that was clawing at my chest.
