Chapter 8 Dad Is Not Happy

I will not go into details because I do not like to share my intimate life, I will simply say that we knew each other to the soul that night, several times.

Then Nick took his guitar and sang for me, it was very different music than what he used to play, it was very romantic and he said that I was his muse. That song inspired my tattoo.

We spent months full of love and I swear I never felt more alive. But unsurprisingly, an aspiring musician would never be good enough for a future surgeon with a brilliant career ahead of her. At least not in my father's eyes.

I'll never know what my father said to Nick, but it was enough to take him out of my life forever, or at least until today.

When I finally stop crying, I notice that the music has stopped, so I decide to go out hoping that means the band is gone.

But of course, if this were a movie, things would be the way I want, but no, this is real life and nothing will turn out the way I want.

When I return to the party room, Matt was talking to my parents and Nick was dangerously close to them.

-Hi my love, where were you? Matt asks in a rather annoying and cheesy tone. -You missed the presentation of the band, they are not so good, but we could have danced a little.

-Oh what a shame! the sound makes me a little dizzy, I had to leave.

-Honey, can we talk in private?- Says my father too calm, but his face says something else, without being able to answer, he takes me away from the group, causing Nick, who was coming towards us, to stop and go back.

-I know this was Hannah's idea, but I hope Nickolas's presence doesn't affect what you've started building with Matt. After all, he has expressed how much he cares for you and his interest in being closer.-

-Sure dad, seeing Nick ... Ammm Nickolas here was a surprise to everyone. I haven't seen him in years. And don't worry about what's going to happen with Matt, I know he's a good match- I smiled to reassure him but to have a future with Matt, he would need to change too much and he doesn't seem like the type that changes for a woman.
