The moment the words fell from officer's Crane's lips, it felt like the world outside the phone call seized.
“What do you mean by Jennie broke out of jail?” I said, the look on my face turning serious.
“We just got a call from the correctional center telling us about her jail break and asking to issue her wanted. She was handed over to us by you, so she might still have some kind of grudge that she would want to quell. That's why I called to tell you and your wife to be careful.” He explained almost in one breath.
“Thank you so much for the information Officer Crane, I owe you one.” I replied before ending his call.
“What's going on? Isn't Jennie the woman who tried to kill Rose?” Lance asked, sitting up properly and also wearing a serious look of his own.
