Dimitri
My eyes flickered open and the first person I saw was the love of my life. He stared at me with nothing but gratitude and relief.
“Thank you. Thank you for fighting for your life and coming back to me.”
For the first time since I've known Dimitri, tears glistened his eyes and he sounded extremely vulnerable. I managed a smile on my face as I gripped his hand in mine.
“I missed you.” I said weakly as I stared into those my favourite stormy grey eyes. He bent to my height and placed a gentle kiss on my lips.
“I missed you, more than the the seconds of time.”
I smiled in relief and I blinked my eyes, trying to shoo away the sleep that was remaining. After so many dark days, I was finally here, in the presence of his light.
