My heart thumped twice against my chest, but at the same time, I was confused as to why my stepmother was looking for me. For all reasons, she sold me out to Klaus and had no reason whatsoever to come visiting.
It's been months, so why is she visiting now?
“Should I let them in, your highness?” The guard asked after waiting for a response but was met with my silence.
“Yeah, sure, let them in.”
The guard bowed and exited afterwards to let the person in. I quickly got out of the water and wrapped my towel around myself. The thoughts of my step mother visiting me filled my head as I could do nothing but think of why she was here.
Gone was the fear I had for her, now I just wanted nothing to do with her, and now she's coming around asking of me.
