I stared at the tray, wondering why she had left it there, but on second thought, she had never done it before, so I found it strange.
“It might be that she left it there because she couldn't afford the luxury of coming in, not to talk of staying long, so she slid the tray under the door.” Sylvie spoke up, airing her reasonable opinion. I nodded my head in agreement, still staring at the tray of food.
“But Aria has never brought chocolates to me before. As much as I want to believe she's the one, this is feeling like the handiwork of someone else.”
“You're reading too much into it. It's only Aria that's capable of such. Maybe she just added the chocolates as a sign of encouragement.``
“What about the hot chocolate then? How do you explain that?” I asked again, still unconvince
