The Unheard Truth

Chapter 5

When Janice made it to the house Andrea was the first person out the door to see what the commotion was outside. Kathy and Marcus came up from behind Janice and transformed back into their human forms. “Kathy,” She said “Marcus what happened?!” She looked as if she was going to touch Annabelle, but stopped short to look at both. “We were out at the lake,” Kathy said moving next to Janice. By now Annabelle had been removed from Janice’s back and was taken by two wolves to the hospital. Kathy looked like she was about to have a break down and Marcus couldn’t stop staring in the direction that Annabelle went. “We heard a sound that didn’t sound natural and they came across her body.”  Andrea’s face said everything she felt “Didn’t she go missing while we were all coming here?” She all but whispered the question as she watched the now empty area that once had Annabelle and other wolves in it. Janice saw the pain in Andrea’s eyes and nudged her hand with her head allowing Andrea to pet her head. Andrea sighed and turned to Marcus. “Where is Angelo?” “He stayed in the area,” Marcus said looking back “I’m going to join him, there’s something off if she ended up here and didn’t know where we were heading.” Andrea nodded her head and Marcus ran shifting into his wolf and going back to the lake. Kathy was crying uncontrollably now. Even though she was not close to Annabelle, she had been nice to her when others, including Cathrine, wanted to pick on her. “Kathy,” Andrea finally spoke “Why don’t you come join me and help make some drinks for the boys when they get back.” Kathy nodded her head and started to walk into the pack house “Janice, do you want to join us?” Janice looked at Andrea then the direction Annabelle had been taken and back to Andrea “I understand, howl if anything happens.” Janice nodded her head and ran towards the hospital. Ever since she got there she kept pacing back and forth. She had been there almost over night when Angelo came walking in. His body showed how tired he was. Janice walked up to him and finally sat down waiting for him to talk. “We covered the area twice and even went to miles out from where she was found to see if we could find anyone. Who ever it was did not leave any type of scent and was able to hide where they went.” Angelo sounded angry.  Janice didn’t know what to do. She felt like she had an idea of who could have attacked Annabelle, but even though she had been keeping tabs on the man she had no proof that he was doing anything wrong. She Sighed and sat at Angelo’s feet after he had sat down. She could tell he was exhausted and would probably not be getting up for a while.  Sure enough Angelo stayed in the hospital till early the next morning and only left so he could take a shower. Janice stayed till an hour after and went to her room in the Pack house. She sat there on the floor looking around her room wondering what she would ever do if she returned to being a human. She felt like she was safe the way she was. She felt like she could help around the pack house if they were to ever get attacked again. She just wished she was strong enough to be human again. Her wolf hadn’t complained ever since she made the shift and happily watched everything she did. Sh only required to take over when she saw a rabbit and wanted to chase it. So Janice never saw a reason to change. The only problem she had was when one of the little kids told her she smelt bad. After that Andrea and Anthony had created a bathroom for her that was wolf friendly, but could be used by humans as well. After a minute of just looking around she laid down on the floor and fell asleep 

Andrea sat at the window and watched the extra wolves doing patrols around the house. They would have sent them out further, but since there was already an attack close to the pack house it was simpler to have them stay close by so they could give a better warning when anyone else got attacked. “What are you thinking love?” Anthony asked wrapping his arms around Andreas middle and kissing above her mark. “I was wondering when we would be able to have peace again.” Andrea answered honestly trying to ignore what Anthony was trying to do. He had been doing this lately when Andrea was feeling down. “Do you ever wonder if we made the right choice?”  At this question Anthony turned Andrea around so he could look her in the eyes. His face told her everything he was feeling “Honey, I worry that you think we made the wrong choice.” He answered “I know you’ve been through a lot, but I can honestly say I know I’ve had feelings for you for a very long time.” He pulled her close and placed his head on top of hers. “Its why I made sure you had the shop you wanted, and came by to see every chance I could. I just didn’t realize why.”  Andrea wrapped her arms around Anthony and tucked her face into the crook of his neck and took a deep breath. His smell made her wolf go crazy and made her want to have him any chance she got, but the one thing it also did was confirm that they were in fact mates and they were meant to be together. Daniel told her he didn’t know what to think sometimes when he found out that Jazz was his mate. He was surprised she didn’t tell him sooner. Andrea understood though. Jazz had told her before and brought a lot of light to what was going on. She remembered how Jazz had told them she knew there was a big problem with the three packs but did not fully understand what it was until the attack on the shop had happened. Anthony removed his head from on top of hers and pulled her face up to his so he could deeply kiss her. Then he picked her up of the ground and walked her to the bed laying her down so he could make slow love to her and show her how much he wanted her and needed her.
