Chapter 3

Alexis

The rest of the day went by without any more incidents as I tried to stay away from them as much as I could or I stayed in a crowded area so they would leave me alone. Walking in my front door, I call for my parents without any results going into the kitchen to make myself a snack and find a note on the table picking it up it reads “ Congrats on finishing school there is a snack for you in the fridge your father and brother are still at training and im doing overtime at the pack hospital see you when I get back xoxo mom “ Yes! my mom makes the best snacks ever! Going to the fridge I pull out the tinfoil wrapped dish and there is a BLT waiting for me to devour it, bringing it up to my room so I can change into sweats and watch a movie while I eat.

Micah

All day I have been off knowing something could be wrong with Ally. Ally and I have been close for a really long time but these last few years I have been extra protective over her since she was 16 and got her wolf. Finishing up practice with my father taking me down one last time with a grunt my father says

“get your head together and focus” while helping me up.

“Sorry dad I’m just distracted today, you should have seen what Ally went to school wearing today.” Pretty much throwing her under the bus and getting me out from under my dad’s frustration’s as he is just as protective of her as I am. Stopping everything he says

“Really what was she wearing?” peaking his interest.

“A white sundress, When was the last time you saw Ally in a dress! You know how beautiful she is all the boys are going to be all over her and I’m not there to step in” I say with worry lacing my voice.

Chucking a little while scratching his beard

“yeah I guess it has been a while but you know she has the skills to defend herself if needed. We have been training her for 2 years already”

“Yeah I guess” I say not to sure I believe it. Looking around I notice everyone has already left and we are the last ones walking off the field. Grabbing our stuff and walking off the field together my father slinging his arm around my shoulder saying

“You know she is almost 18 right I think you can tone down the protective thing a notch?” I stop walking just so he knows how serious I am about this.

“She will always be my little sister no matter how old she gets and one of my top priorities will always be to make sure she is safe and happy” holding his hands up in submission.

“Ok I get it”

As soon as we started walking again I take a side glance at him seeing pride written all over his face, not that he would say it right out but I can see what I said made him happy. We are just about to pass the inside training grounds. I remember I left my gym bag there with my water bottle and wallet inside.

“Shoot I forgot my gym bag in the changing rooms give me a second I’m going to just run in and get it”

Jogging over to the double doors pulling them open, nobody should be in here really as most people are either at their homes or eating dinner at the pack house. Grabbing my bag from my locker I am just about to pull on the doors to exit the locker room when my wolf Max picks up on a conversation being had in the gym.

The conversation stops me cold in my tracks as I hear Tyler the alphas son says Ally’s name.

“Dad there is something off about that Alexis girl”

“what do you mean off?” he says standing a little straighter listening a little more intently to what his son has to say. Controlling my breathing so their wolf hearing can’t pick up on me listening to the conversation.

“well, we had a little talk today and I let Alpha aura out a little bit and I don’t think it affected her like regular wolves she acted like it did but she took too long to comply. Specially for someone whose wolf is so weak she can’t shift properly” Hmm

“Well maybe is she your mate? She isn’t 18 yet, right? maybe your alpha aura doesn’t work on her."

“Ha! No she isn’t my mate I met my mate when you sent me to visit our neighboring pack last month she was some pathetic omega maid that was not fit to be my Luna.” He said proudly

“That’s my boy” the alpha said slapping his son on the shoulder

“We can’t just let anyone in our bloodline only the best”.

My blood is boiling listening to this piece of s**t father and son talk about themselves like this, like they are gods and we are just peasants waiting for their scraps. And don’t think I forgot about what he said about him and Alexis having an interaction at school. Bringing myself back to focusing on their conversation so I don’t miss anything before freaking out,

“If her wolf is stronger than she is letting everyone on to believe I want her as mine” he says so confidently like she doesn’t have the choice in this at all.

Max is growling my my head begging to be let out “Like hell will we let that little bastard around our Ally”

“ Don’t worry Max we won’t let anything happen to her” I say trying to get him to settle so I can keep listening. Max is just as protective of her as I am but he knows if we blow our cover we won’t be able to do anything for her dead and that is exactly what will happen if the alpha catches us.

“Why are you so set on having her as your mate? What if her wolf isn’t as strong as we are thinking?” The Alpha asks

“ Well, she is f*****g sexy as hell so we would be beautiful together and with me being an alpha we would be strong, But she does have an attitude”

“Don’t worry son that can be beaten out of her if she doesn’t comply but don’t be too quick to mark her I will still be looking for someone of status to be your Luna and she can be your mistress or something.”

“Good because I want her no matter what”

I am combusting at point ready to shift at any moment if it wasn’t for max telling me the exact words, I told him.

“Well, whatever we will see who you find for me and go from there but what are we going to do once she hits 18 and is able to find her mate?” Tyler whines.

Sighing the Alpha says “well first off stay away from her as to not cause any more trouble until I can contact a witch to get a potion so she thinks you are her mate then her family can’t say no to you taking her to live in the pack house and you can do what you want with her.”

Once I hear them finally leave, I wait an extra 5 minutes to make sure they are gone and sneak out to find my dad talking to some other warriors while waiting. Walking right by him I have to use all my strength to keep from shifting and accidentally snapping at someone. I can hear my father trying to catch up to me by calling my name, but everything is a blur.

“Micah! Micah!” he says while grabbing my shoulder, I swiped at him but thankfully enough he was one of the best warriors and blocked my attack.

“What the hell is wrong with you ?!” he said pinning me to the ground. “Sorry dad” I said shaking my head clear.

“But we need to get home like NOW!” I Said in a stern voice so he knew something was up. As soon as he registered it, he helped me up and we were off running towards the house.
