Chapter 9

Alexis

We have been here for almost a week, tomorrow is my birthday. I don’t mind it here anymore now that I have other people to talk to even if it is just Micah’s friends when they come for lunch, I still wanna go home. I talk to my parents every day, dad thinks that the alpha has been watching him and mom a little closer and Tyler seems to be more of a jerk from what I hear. Ava said that he tried to ask about me but when she didn’t say anything he huffed away angrily.

Ava might not know what's happening but she knows better than to tell him anything about me.

Sitting around wallowing about not being able to see Ave on my birthday or my parents when Micah walks in with a smile on his face.

“Ally, you look like a hobo” Micah says bluntly.

“Thanks Micah, tell me how you really feel” I say pulling my sweater lower over my head.

“Well, you can't run like that!”

Jumping up from the couch, I look at him to make sure he isn’t joking.

“Are you serious?”

“Yep, I just talked to the Alpha and he told us where we can go for a run without anyone seeing you” he says smiling.

Jumping on him, I gave him a hug.

“Thank you” I say running to my bedroom, grabbing my gym bag with clothes even if I don’t actually need them. Putting on spanks and a sports bra I am buzzing with excitement as Angel has been asking me when we can shift.

“Hurry up already!” Angel says jumping up and down in my head.

Tyler

Crumbling another paper, putting my hands in my hair. CLICK. Looking up I see my dad enter my office,

“it’s almost her birthday and she isn’t even on pack land!” I say aggravated, my wolf has started to become feral little by little since I rejected his goddess-given mate and wants Alexis just as bad now, I have tried asking around subtly but either no one knows, and her best-friend is tight lipped.

“I know son, you were right about wanting her, and you were also right about her being different we need to get her back” he says

“Wait, what do you know??”

“Well after I found a witch to make the potion, we were talking and she happened to ask what pack I led and when I told her she had a very shocked look but covered it quickly, but with a little persuasion she gave me the gist of an old prophecy about White wolf, I think that is Alexis”.

Ha! By persuasion he either means money or torture, but I know he loves his money, greedy old bastard, but he does know how to get things done. Leaning forward, grabbing my attention with this prophecy.

“Tell me more” I said, intrigued.

“Well, all I could get out of her before she was done.”

And by “done” he really means she died from all the torture it took to get it out of her.

Well, that is interesting now isn’t it, leaning back into my chair.

“What’s the plan?” I asked my dad, seeing the wheels turn in his head.

Alexis

Bouncing on my heels I am just so excited to shift it's been so long! Angel is bursting with excitement, but there is something else behind it. I don’t comment on it, focusing on where we are headed. Walking along the tree line we head behind the pack house while they are busy with their chores or training. I let Micah’s scent cover mine as most of them already know him. As soon as we are behind the packhouse we take a hard left and walk into the woods until we reach a small cabin is well maintained but shows its age, covered with ivy vines and mossy patches.

“Where are we?” I asked, confused.

“We are here!” He says with his hands in the air.

“Where is here exactly?”

“This is the alpha’s private spot, he said we can run here without being interrupted” Taking his shirt off.

“ The Alpha let us run in his private spot?” taken aback at what Micah said, What Alpha lets wolves from another pack run in his private part of the woods?

Angel heard that this was the Alpha’s spot, and started wagging her tail, her excitement going up at the notion of shifting here.

“Well, are we going for a run or what” Micah mind links me taking me out of my thoughts.

“Yeah sorry” I say out loud.

“You ready Angel?”

“You know it! Let’s go have fun” she says jumping up and down in my mind.

Throwing my bag to the side, I shifted quickly into Angel shaking out my fur.

“Are we going or what?” Micah says, nudging me.

Pouncing on him knocking him to the ground, I nip at him then take off into the woods “catch me if you can” I link him laughing.

I can hear the growl from Micha/ Max as they get up and start chasing us and nipping at back legs, Angel pushes to go fast and hides behind a fallen tree rolling in the leaves to hide our scent from them, waiting for them to get close. I can hear him trying to find us, tracking our scent to the right in front of the fallen tree to where it disappears. While he is confused, we slowly creep up onto the fallen tree and jump on him nipping at his neck as we both fall to the ground,

“I surrender” Micah links me as we both catch our breath giving me a big wolfy grin with his tongue hanging out.

“Thank you Micah, I really needed this” I say laying next to him

“Of course, I’m your big brother I would do anything to make you happy.”

We both just lay there for a bit taking in the beauty of nature, Hearing the birds chirping small animals moving through the woods.

“You ready to go back?” Micah asks, breaking the silence.

“Yeah, I will meet you back there, Angel just wants to take her time going back since we don’t know when the next time we will be able to shift again”

“OK but please don’t go too far, I will also be waiting for you at the cabin if I don’t see you there in 15-20 minutes, I will be coming to look for you” he says in a stern voice.

“Yes dad!” I link back in a sarcastic voice.

Watching him run off, "Angel, you happy?”

“ I am, I had so much fun running today” she says.

“Good, I’m glad let’s just enjoy the walk back to the cabin”, walking back to the cabin in comfortable silence, enjoying the sounds, smells and sights of the lush green forest floor, pushing myself into the back of my mind and letting Angel take over, I watch everything pass by without a care in the world. Closing my eyes for a minute. I don’t notice that Angel is not on the path back to the cabin anymore but walking towards a small but very familiar pond.

“Angel, where are we?”

“You don’t recognize it? This is the place from our dreams.”

“Yeah I see that how are we here, I didn’t think this place was real!?” I questioned.

" I recognized the smell from our dream and started walking towards it” she says.

Walking up the rock wall to drink from the stream just like in my dreams feels surreal, but Angel assures me that I am not dreaming. Seeing the sun start to go down I start to get anxious about how long I have been here or what time it is! Jumping down, I started running back to the cabin before Micah comes looking for me if he hasn’t already.

Coming into view of the cabin I am suddenly rushed by Micah,

“Where the hell were you! What took so long? I said 15 -20 minutes, you were gone for almost 40 minutes! I was just about to go back out looking for you” he says looking very stressed.

Walking behind a tree to shift even though I don’t have to but Micah does not know that so I keep up pretenses. Coming out, Micah is standing there waiting for me.

“So?” looking visibly upset with me.

“I’m sorry ok! I didn’t realize how long we were gone. I took a back seat for a while to let Angel have her time and when I went back she was off the path, but once we saw how long we were gone we ran all the here” I blurted out, not wanting him to be mad anymore.

Huffing out air, he walks up to me and pulls me in for a hug.

“I’m not happy with you but my worry outweighed that, I am glad you are safe” he, grumbled.

“I’m sorry” I say again.
