“NOAH! ROCKY!”

yelling out my office door, I feel like this room is my whole life lately as I am in here constantly either on the phone with Alphas from other packs that need help or overlooking documents from my companies that keep the pack flush with money.

“You rang?” Noah bellows while walking in like a butler while Rocky strolls past plopping down on the chair. Ignoring the idiocy that is Noah.

“Yeah, I need you to get a small cabin together for Micah and his little sister they will be staying with us for a week maybe more”

“Oh no way! Haven’t seen that guy in a few years! This should be fun” Rocky says.

“Wait why are they coming on such short notice?” Noah questioned, closing my laptop.

“Apparently that little s**t Tyler the Alpha to be is trying to take Micah’s little sister as his chosen mate by force as she isn’t even old enough to meet her mate.”

“By force? Like what keep her in the dungeon until she accepts?” Rocky asks.

“No, him and the his pathetic father are looking for a witch to make a potion so she thinks that he is her mate and to only keep her as his mate until his dad finds him someone with a better blood line or with “Alpha blood” and just keep her as a mistress or something along those lines.”

“That is a punishable offence” Rocky growled out.

He is probably thinking about his 3 little sisters, he is very family orientated.

“Yes, it is but Micah only overheard this conversation so there is no actual proof of any of it so he is try trying to get her out of there just long enough to be able to sense her mate or meet him before they can slip her anything.”

“Rocky man maybe she is your mate!” Noah jokes,

Scratching his head Rocky says, “Yeah that would be nice!”

“Wait! Is she hot?” Noah asks,

Growling slightly at him

“Watch it you are mated to my sister.”

“I know man I’m just joking around with you guys”

“Have you guys ever seen her though? Micah only ever talked about her” Rocky asks Noah and me, both shaking our heads.

After they left to get a cabin ready, I check my phone to see I have an unread message from Micah,

Hey man we are a couple hours out we will be there around 1 am.

Looking at the clock it reads 10:45pm,

Ok sounds good I had a small cabin set up for you guys I’ll send you the location.

I text back throwing my phone on the bed and grab my bag and head the gym in the basement to get a quick workout in before bed.

“Ally wake up”

“Wake up”

ugh why is someone always waking me up!!!! Sitting up I realized I must have fallen asleep during the drive,

“Micah how far are we?”

“Still a couple hours but we need gas I just woke you up because this will probably be the last stop till we get there”

Yawning and stretching I get out throwing a thank you over my shoulder I walk into the convivence store go to the bathroom and just before opening the door angel stops me.

“Wait!” she yells in my head scaring me making me jump but I stop,

“Angel, you scared me! what’s wrong?”

“You forgot to hide your sent and there are 2 wolves here trying to figure out who’s scent it is” she says I instantly try to covering up my scent.

“Don’t worry about it I already did it” Angel said while laying down in my head almost like she is unworried about the situation. Mind-linking Micah I let him know what is going on.

“Hey, I’m stuck in the bathroom right now I forgot to hide my scent and there are 2 wolves in the store”

“Seriously Ally come on you know better.” he scolds me , cutting off the link I roll my eyes I don’t need another lecture , Leaning against the wall closing my eyes

“Angel are they gone yet? I’m getting hungry”

“Yeah, yeah, they are leaving now” She says before yawning and curling up to sleep unworried. If she was this relaxed why the hell did she have to scare me like that at first I thought to myself,

“Because I checked their Auras while you were having your little freak out, they are just warriors looking for the unknown scent in their area” she chimes into my thought. Oh, ok well that’s good … wait again with the arura thing.

“Angel when did you start doing this and how can you do this?” I asked again with no response except for a light snore, Sleeping! I swear she likes sleeping more than I do. Walking out of the bathroom I grab an energy drink for Micah and a bag of chips for me and head back to the car, opening the car door must have startled Micah because he started to look around before looking through the window at me while pumping gas giving me an annoyed look.

Opening the chips, popping one in my mouth while trying to hand one to him with a sugary sweet smile. Swiping the chip from my hand with a smirk on his face I know I got away with it as he can never stay mad at me for too long, As he finishes the gas I can hear him muttering about how he is going to be grey before he turns 30.

Rolling up to the gate of the Black water pack me and Micah are singing and laughing at the radio, it’s close to 1:30 in the morning so we seem even louder then we think. Turning down the radio once we reach a small booth 2 warriors come out looking like they have a stick up their asses but again most warriors do but the ones that guard the front gate always seem worse.

“Hey I heard that! you left your mind link open” Micah’s voice enters my head ,

“oops” I link back.

One guard walks up to each of our windows checking out the car

“What business do you have here”

the higher-ranking looking warrior barks into Micah’s side window, Most male wolves are very dominant so when 2 wolves from different packs with the same or higher ranking feel like they are being disrespected things can get a bit out of control as this warriors seems to feel that way as does Micah hearing the barely audible growl leaking out.

“DESCALATE this situation” Angel says anxiously pacing back and forth in my head.

“What is wrong with you?”

“I don’t know yet” she says shaking her big wolfy head trying to calm herself. Putting my hand on Micah’s arm and when he looks at me I mind-link him

“It’s not worth it we are just tired, let’s just get to the cabin and relax.”

while giving my head a small shake “Okay” Is the only thing he says as I tune out looking out at the lush green forest on either side of us, looking back out my side window I see the other warrior I completely forgot was there looking at me tilting his head giving me a creepy smirk that is super uncomfortable. I shift my weight towards Micah slightly just to be as far away from that guy as possible hoping that we can just pass already. Tuning back into the conversation happing between the higher-ranking warrior and Micah I hear

“OK you are good to go I just linked beta Noah and he says that you guys are going to be visiting for a while , hope to see you on the training field” he says while shaking Micah’s hand

“Yeah man I will”

while starting the car so we can keep going, jeez it blows my mind how men can go from just about to fight to making plans like they are best friends. Crossing over the pack border just seems to make Angel more anxious and unable to setting down, making me need to rub my temples.

“Angel can you please settle down you’re giving me a headache”

“I’m sorry Ally I can’t seem too something is making me feel off” she says laying down then getting back up again and pacing back and forth.
