Chapter 13 Changes 1

Daniel pov

My mate and I were having a good time after our son's wedding and crowning ceremony. It's the first in a long time we have been having quality time to ourselves without worrying about something happening. How wrong could I be.

While making loving to my mate, Sandra, a link comes in from our son.

"Mom, dad, I need your help. It's Cathy. She just blacked out."

I immediately looked at Sandra, and she looked shocked at what our son said. We immediately got dressed and headed towards our son's bedroom. Upon entering, he was just coming out of the bathroom, and his eyes were red, and I knew exactly what happened. Therefore, I let my vampire come forward. "How are you, son? I have been waiting a long time to see you. What is your name?" I asked him.

"HIi, dad. My name is Mason. Dad, I don't understand what happened. I mean, we were having such a wonderful time. The next I know, she is unconscious. Dad, what do I do?" Anthony asked.

"Son, did you mark her?" I asked him. While Sandra checked on Cathy. She mind-link me , "There is a partial mark on her Daniel. What are we going to do."

"I don't know. We just have to watch her and see what happens, but I know what Anthony has to do." I answered and then closed the link.

"No, I did not, but Chris did mark her," Anthony answered.

I thought this was bad. "Son, to mark Cathy, you have to be in hybrid mode, or it will not work," I told him.

"What do you mean, dad?" Anthony asked.

"Anthony, I want you to understand. Cathy is a human, and the change will be a lot harder on her than if she was born a werewolf or a vampire," I told my son. "Son, with just that mark alone, she will start to change. But because you did not complete the marking, the change will take a lot longer. Son, you will have to mark her again, but this time, you will have to be in hybrid mode to do that for her to change. But you will have to learn how to control your thirst now that your vampire has awakened. But like I said, you will have to make her while you're in hybrid mode."

"But dad, she does not want to be turned, nor do I want to turn her unless it is necessary. Now, what am I supposed to tell her. That she might get stronger and faster because I marked her," he said to me.

"Son, I don't know what to tell you," I said to him.

"But dad, I have to tell her. If I don't, and she starts to feel the changes, she is going to start asking questions. How do I answer her?" My son asked.

Cathy pov

I wonder where I am. I found myself in an open field as far as the eyes can see. Buy how do I get here.

"Good morning." said a voice behind me. When I turn around, there stands the most beautiful woman.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I am the Moon goddess," she replied. "I am here to talk to you a little about what is going to take place over the next couple of weeks."

"You want to talk to me?" I asked her.

"Yes," she replied.

"What do you want to talk to me about?" I asked.

"Firstly, Anthony should not have marked you as yet...."

"Why?" I asked the moon goddess.

"Because the moment he mates with you, his vampire side kicks in the same time his wolf decides to mark you. Thus, this will trigger the transformation of you becoming a werewolf."

"I told him that I do not want to be changed unless it is necessary. How could he do this to me," I screamed.

"Please, listen if his vampire side had not awakened so quickly. When his wolf, Chris, has marked you, then you will not be going through the changes," the moon goddess replied. "Therefore, whether you like it or not, after a while, you will have to be change, for your body to withstand the speed and agility plus the additional abilities of a werewolf. I am not saying this as a bad thing, but it will start to take a toll on your body. Yes, you can live years before you decide you want to turn. It is still your choice. No one, and I mean no one, can force you to do nothing you don't want. I am just telling you what can happen."

Anthony pov

It has been 3 days since I marked her, 3 days since Cathy has been unconscious. Three days since I have not slept, nor eat anything. But how can I eat or sleep when my mate is unconscious. When I do not know what is happening to her.

My father tried to get me out of the house to help me with the thirst that comes with being a vampire. trust me when I say this is a lot harder than I thought. My father always tells me that being a vampire does have its perks. But he said when the vampire side kicks in the thirst, it is always the hardest part to control.

flashback (12 year old Anthony)

"Dad, what's been a vampire like," I asked my dad.

"Son, there's not a lot to say about being a vampire," my father replied.

"Why?" I asked.

"For me being a vampire hybrid or should I say a werewolf hybrid. I am just a lot faster and strong, and my senses are a lot more heightened. Being half vampire means the son light doesn't bother me as much, but I still have to fight the thirst the first yime my vampire side was awakened. I have always been alert and careful because that is the time your bloodlust is at its strongest. You will always want feed, but one thing I can tell you son is that no one can satisfy your thirst like your mate, and you still have to be careful because you just may take too much and lose control" my father stated.

end flashback

Now, I will have to learn how to control my thirst. I was just about to lay down on the couch in the guest room when my mother linked me.

'Son, Cathy is awake and us asking for you'

'Coming mom,' I answered.
