Arcus's Pov "I'm bored," I said while putting down the pen I was holding before turning my gaze to Adrian. "Sir, how about you ease your boredom by finishing all of the documents needed today." "No, they are too easy. I'd rather you find something interesting." He sighed deeply, "Then please finish everything first, come to think of it. You have a meeting five minutes from now" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. I have never put a schedule at this time. As if he understood what I'm thinking, he immediately replied while showing me the text messages of my parents to him "As you can see sir, your parents accepted a meeting proposal from another company." "How about I fire you then?" I glared at him. He had been acting this way ever since my parents started backing him up. Of course, the only reason why I'm putting up with him was because he's good at his work. If not, I would have fired him immediately regardless of how my parents would react. Ignoring my complaints, he proceeded in explaining what he needed to. "It will be with the representative of Wrights company. Looking at their situation recently, they must be here to convince you to become their investor. Since your mother didn't specifically inform me about this, I just speculated their purpose based on the state of their company." "...." "Sir, the representative of Wrights company is here claiming that they had secured an appointment today." One of my employees informed us as soon as she entered my office. I grumbled. "Another useless meeting," I uttered. As usual, these money addicts only approached me to either become their investors or form a profitable relationship. Well, that's how business works Soon after, I heard the sound of the door opening. "Good morning, I am Kirsten Smith." Her voice rang in my ears for a moment recalling some bad memories from a few days ago. 'Her voice sounded like that girl' As my curiosity swept through me, I turned away my gaze from the documents I was reading and raised my face to see the woman who just spoke "I am the representative of Wrights Company--" Her lips stopped moving as our eyes met. I was also stunned for a moment. This face, this unforgettable woman who annoyed the h*ll out of me. Her alluring face, seductive lips, and curves were very familiar to me. It was the girl from the airplane who made me suffer from annoyance for days. Obviously, that was the first time someone had treated me that way so it was quite hard to forget how she pierced through my ego. After a few moments of silence, she closed her eyes and started speaking again "I-I am the representative of Wrights company" Realizing the situation, I smiled and pasted a triumphant look. Interesting... How should I get back to her? Hmm... "You may start your presentation," I simply said as I watched her curvy body moving toward where the projector was placed at. She has a natural posture and smile. If I didn't encounter her last time, I would have believed that her smile was genuine. "First, I'd like to give a general background about our company. Would that be fine Mr. Grey?" Now, she's acting like as if that encounter didn't happen at all. Of course, I'd like to applaud her for her good acting but won't it be a shame to just throw away those 'good' experiences? Anyway, I nodded at her as permission. There, she started blabbering about their plan to get more sales in the future and how worth it it would be if I invest in Wrights company. Other than that, I didn't understand a thing. I'm more focused on her. How she grips her hands to stop them from trembling, how she tries to make her voice louder to hide her nervousness. Regardless, I can still see how inexperienced she is. Her presentation didn't lack any information but from a businessman's perspective, everything is too good to be true. This means, her presentation lacks assurance. "Is that all? I can't believe you wasted my time with all those useless information." I sharpen my eyes even more. Of course, despite my harsh voice, I don't plan on declining her offer. Rather, I decided to offer her a deal As expected, her eyes rounded in surprise. I could see her effort and it must have taken so much time just to prepare everything. "I-is it because of last time? Look, I'm s-sorry. I wasn't aware of your i-identity back then so please g-give me another chance." I laughed. "It's not a significant encounter. Don't dwell on your delusions. Yes, you indeed annoyed me but that's it. I don't plan to drag that personal encounter into business." Her lips shut in embarrassment. "T-then please give me another chance," she said with a determined look. "No." Her eyes changed at my reply. Her pleading eyes turned sharp as she turned her back on me. "If that's the case, then I don't think we have more things to talk about. Thank you." Then, she stomped her feet toward the door. Interesting, Her reactions are making me entertained. I should keep her close. Anyway, in a second, she reached the door. That's when I decided to give her the bait. "Unless... You become my secretary, I'll invest in your company." I looked at her intensely to see her reaction. As expected, she stopped and turned her gaze on me which I replied with a smug smile. Come on, take the bait. Be my secretary.
