Prince Blake Wessex of the Kingdom of Light

Blake It took us another day to arrive to the capital city of the Kingdom of Light as everyone called. In difference of the mountains, here the weather was pleasant almost during all year. We walked into the the city and watched the peoples' surprised expressions. Denali's silver hair and crimson eyes probably not usual here. I thought until Denali leaned closer to me carefully and whispered in the tribe's language that she taught me while we lived together. - Blake, don't you want to tell me something? - she asked and I shrugged. - No, why are you asking? - she looked around a bit and said. - Everyone is staring at you. - I chuckled and scratched the back of my neck. - Don't be ridiculous! They are clearly looking at you! - Denali stopped in front of me and crossed her arms in front of her chest. - Do you wanna bet? - I nodded and Denali said that she'll find an accommodation for us and the horses. I had to stay at the city center and count how many people stare at me. Seriously... Why would they look at me? Denali's appearance is clearly different from these folks. I thought, but decided to count the people stealing glances towards me. Soon I had to admit that Denali was right. Almost everyone checked me and whispered under their noses. Denali came back to me and lead me to a tiny inn. - We got one room with two beds. Let's refresh ourselves and grab something for lunch! - she said and I let her to get ready first. I've waited for my turn down, in the restaurant of the inn. The bartender didn't take his eyes off of me while he washed the glasses and jars. After a couple of minutes it became really irritating and when I wanted to ask him about what the hell was going on, royal knights rushed into the inn. - Where is him?! - they asked turning to the bartender and he pointed at me. - Young man. You must come with us, now! - one of them said but I noticed their weird glances as well. - I'm not going anywhere. - I said and they looked a bit lost before their leader said. - Please follow us, we don't want to resort to any kind of violence! - I took a step back towards the stairs Denali previously went up. My hand on the short sword we made together for my birthday. - Blake , what is going on here? - Denali asked from behind me. Before I could've answered she stood next to me with her hand on her sword as well. She cleared her throat. - Gentlemen, we don't want any trouble. With my friend we just came to visit your gorgeous city! - only at this moment I've noticed that she changed into regular clothes. Instead of her trousers she wore a brown long skirt, and white blouse. In this attire, she looked fragile and soft, but I knew this woman well enough already, not to underestimate her. - Us neither Miss. But the boy must come with us. - the leader of the knights said and Denali stood in front of me. - I'm afraid I cannot allow that as his guardian, unless there is a direct order or evidence of a crime. - Denali surprised me with her sense of diplomacy. One of the knights whispered something to his leader and the leader's face distorted. He pulled his sword out and pointed towards Denali's throat. - I won't repeat again, snow ghost, give us the boy! - Denali's mouth curved to a smile and she winked at me. Denali pulled her sword out. - Seems like you have problems with your hearing, the boy is not going with you. - the knight attacked Denali but she was faster and dodged. - What the hell are you waiting for!? RUN! - she said but I pulled my sword out as well and stood next to her. - Seriously?! Do you really have to go crazy now? - she asked and I avoided a low blow from a knight. - We are in this together! - Denali rolled her eyes while we slowly stepped up on the stairs making as few openings for the opponents attack as possible. - What have you done while I took a quick shower? - she asked. - Watch out! - I screamed and Denali's sword flew out of her hand. She grabbed the head of the knight and head banged him. The knight got knocked out and rolled down the stairs kicking the legs of his colleagues out. We took advantage of the chaos and rushed to out room closing the door and barricading it with a heavy wardrobe. - I swore I did only what we agreed on! But you were right, everyone was staring at me. - Denali looked pensive and her eyes widened for a moment while she looked into mine. - No way... - she mumbled but the knights broke into our room. Two of them grabbed my arms and took me with them, in the meantime two others grabbed Denali's arms. They chained her hands together and even put muzzle on her face. - LET HER GO! What do you think you're doing to a woman?! - I shouted and tried to rip myself out of their hold. My blood was boiling in my veins seeing Denali in this state. They treated her like an animal. - This is a snow ghost! They are ferals! We must be careful! - their leader said and when we were out of the inn, he throw me up on his horse and they pulled Denali after them on a long chain. I've tried to jump out of the saddle countless times to get her out of there, but the leader of the knights got tired and hit the back of my head. Everything went dark. The next time I've opened my eyes, I was pulled into an exquisitely decorated office room. Heavy curtains by the enormous windows. Bookshelves on both sides of each window. A man in his late forties, with black hair and blue eyes, was sitting behind his desk he looked up and his eyes widened. There was another man around his age standing next to him. A brown haired man with an amazed expression mumbled. - This can't be true... - the man stood up from behind his desk and rushed in front of me. He grabbed my shoulders and asked. - What's your name, boy? - I didn't know why, but his touch was familiar and the realization hit me. This is king Edgar! Blake's father! We spent so much time into building up his personality and in the end the CEO didn't find him intriguing enough! Now I remember, we wanted to make him a Tryant, so we decided to kill his first born... But Blake is that first born and the man standing in front of me, is his father. - My name is Blake. - the other guy fixed his glasses and asked. - How old are you? - his voice cracked a bit as if he already knew the answer. - Sixteen. - fuck... What was this guy's name? Did we even create a character like him. He looks like a butler. - Do you know who I am? - king Edgar asked and I've decided to be straight with him. -Yes, Your Majesty. You are King Edgar Wessex, King of the Kingdom of Light. - Edgar fall on his knees and hugged me to him. He cried happily while he buried his face into my shoulder. Nobody said anything of his clothes getting dirty due to hugging a boy from the streets. Suddenly he got up and grabbed my arm carefully. Edgar rolled up my sleeve and checked the back of my underarm. He smiled when he found what he had been looking for. The King's fingers touched my birthmarks and he drew a small curve under them. He stared into my eyes deeply and said. - Your eyes are like your mother's. - he turned to the butler and said. - Oscar... Call everyone, my son is finally home! - I couldn't say a word about this. Blake died in out game. He had no personality, no story at all. Until today I've lived as an extra and now I became the main character of my own game. - Your Majesty, where is the woman I arrived to the city with? - I asked and Edgar pat my shoulder. - Call me Father or Dad whichever you want! - he turned to the knights and waited for their answer. - We closed her in the dungeons your Majesty for now! - I turned to the knight and the authority in my own voice surprised me. - Release her immediately, apologize and give her accommodation. - they looked at the king but Blake's father just smiled like an i***t. - You heard the First Prince. Do as he ordered. - they left and Edgar turned to Oscar. - Please prepare for Blake his room, a nice bath and clean clothes. - Oscar bowed and left the room. From the door a curious little boy stared at me with awe. - Brother? - he asked and Edgar nodded. The boy ran in and into my arms. - I've missed you so much! - NOAH! I told you not to disturb your father while he is working! - a sweet voice said from the door. Our eyes locked and before she could've smiled at me I saw a tiny twitch in her eyes. - Blake, is that really you? - she asked and I recognized both of them. The boy hugging me was Noah Wessex, an antagonist of the story, a powerful mage who got the crown despite his whishes. The woman in the door was his mother, Blake's stepmother. - I'm sorry, but who are you? - I asked and saw her sigh with relief. Something is wrong here.
