SMACK. I felt the impact before I even saw it coming. I had to admit, it was effectively strong enough to finally bring me back to sanity. The stinging on my left cheek just made it even more existent. My face had moved to a slight angle as I tried to keep myself from cursing out loud caused by the jolting pain on my skin.
