The wine bottle was thrown towards her direction, spilling it's content on her hair, face and dress. The bottle made a loud thud as it hit the carpeted floor.
Athena's eyes portrayed no emotion at all. She looked at herself seeing the red liquor all over her pastel colored dress. She sighed, looking at her side seeing the waitress that stumbled on the carpeted floor.
'This is unexpected, but i am not surprised.'
She thought to herself, turning to the waitress who is now on her knees and begging for her mercy.
Semper approached her, giving his scarf to Athena. Athena took it and glared to the waitress.
"Stand up."
The trembling waitress froze on her location the moment she heard her cold voice. She was already certain that Athena will ask the manager to fire her.
"I-I'm very very sorry Miss!!!"
She yelled and apologized. Athena just glanced at her.
"I said stand up."
The waitress slowly stood up after hearing her repeating her words. clearly, another repeat and she'll face doom.
"What's your name?"
She asked her. The waitress looked at Haerin's eyes, immediately getting intimidated and looked down once again.
"C-C-Christina Fields."
She stuttered.
"Bring me your manager then, Ms Fields-"
before she can even finish her sentence, Semper held her arm to gain her attention. Athena looked at his direction with a blank expression.
"I don't think we need to do that. She tripped into someone."
Semper looked at the woman who tripped the waitress, catching her looking at him too. She flinched and looked away.
"I am aware of that, Mr. Fausters."
Athena looked at Semper, you can see a hint of annoyance dying down on her orbs.
"But no one is standing up and taking the blame. Naturally, the responsibility will fall on her, Don't you think so?"
There she is again with her cold remarks. Semper shook his head in disbelief.
"Karen."
'Oh.. what's this?'
Athena looked at the position where Semper is looking.
Yes. The president of his fanclub, Karen Well.
The woman stood up from her position, looking at Athena with an unapologetic eyes.
"Wait-!"she yelled and went towards Athena.
"Pardon the interruption, I am Karen Well of the AllWell Group" she paused and looked at Semper first before speaking again.
"I believe i was being slightly carefree so i tripped the poor waitress here. Please don't let it out on the poor waitress. I was at fault here, I deeply apologize and I will take responsibility."
'A woman..? interesting.'
"alright, I guess it can't be helped." Athena sighed.
"very well.."
Karen fakes a smile, feeling victorious with how easy she let go of her.
"However Miss Karen Well,"
Her smile faded instantly after Athena opened her mouth once again.
"Claiming this as an 'accident' won't do anything, right?"
Athena turned towards her.
"What do you want? You want money? Or another dress? Tell me. "
"I suppose it's not something you can get away by paying. Show your manners and sincerity."
Karen's eyebrows crossed because of annoyance.
"What are you talking about? I told you it wasn't on purpose!! I'm even offering compensation here. What more do you want?!!"
"Don't get me wrong. I have no more complaints on this. After all, aside from the wine splattered on me, Another bad impression from Mr. Fausters and a ruined Marriage meeting, There aren't any damage done on me now, are there?"
Athena sarcastically chuckled.
"Quit being sarcastic! I don't-"
"You don't know what I'm talking about?"
Athena mocked at her, gazing at her from head to toe.
"That's a shame because i thought you were sharp. But it seems you are only spitting non-sense. Let me tell you then..."
"Because of what you did, regardless of the intentions, someone almost lost her job and you almost stained a company's name."
She said sternly. Karen face can't be painted by now because of shame and annoyance.
"Actions have Repercussions, Ms. Well. That's common sense."
"S-Shut up!! You deserve it, You b***h!! "
She yelled at Athena and looked at Semper.
'She revealed herself. Tch.'
"S-Semper... She's bullying me."
Semper didn't even bother to look at her and ignored her words. Athena smirked.
"Let's not make it too complicated. As you said earlier, Take charge of this mess that you caused." Athena looked at her with a devilish smirk.
"kneel down just like what she did and apologize to Ms.Fields, To the hotel crews and everyone inside this hall."
"N-No way......You're crazy..."
Athena tilted her head.
"Well then i guess that can't be helped."
Karen looked at her. She wiped the spilled wine on her dress with Semper's scarf and spoke.
"You're from the AllWell Group right? Your father should know me then. We are your major investor afterall."
Karen eyes went wide.
"No way..... dad...."She already know where Athena is going.
Her father won't like it.
"Should i call your father now and tell him what happened? He'll be glad to kneel in front of me instead."
Athena clicked her tongue.
Karen, who was even trembling already, slowly crouched down to the floor as tears slowly form on her eyes.
"I-I-I'm sorry." She said, hiding her face with embarrassment and shame. Athena smiled victoriously, The manager came towards her direction.
"We're terribly sorry miss! Let me atleast assist you to the comfort room...."
Athena looked at the manager and nodded, slowly turning back.
before she can even walk away, she said something to Karen.
"By the way, Miss Karen Well,"
She halted on her tracks and glanced at her direction "I have two pieces of advice for you." Karen looked up, meeting her cold stare that could penetrate anyone's soul
"First, If you ever waste my time again, You'll regret it. I was lenient with this one because i am improving my name in front of Mr. Fausters."She glanced at Semper who was just looking at her blankly.
"Second,"
"Don't ever play games and cheap tricks on me." She paused and glared at her.
"You'll never win."
