Introduction

Atherian is a planet where a person's worth is determined by their strength—strength defined here as skill and capability. Capability, in this context, refers to the ability to persuade others and command their respect. In the eastern region of Atherian lies the kingdom of Valharyan, home to a small settlement known as 'The Stormhold.' The Stormhold is inhabited by the 'George Clan,' the most renowned clan in the area. Jessica, the wife of the clan leader, gave birth to a daughter named Martina George, who was the most beautiful girl in the clan. At the moment of her birth, lightning flashed across the sky, flowers bloomed, and all nature seemed to rejoice, expressing its happiness in a myriad of ways. When she turned three, she began learning martial arts from her father, Jack George, as her family was deeply rooted in the martial arts world. Jack was the clan's finest martial artist, which is why he also served as the clan leader.

Thirteen years later, when she was sixteen, her father Jack died from a tragic illness, and shortly thereafter, her mother Jessica also passed away; following this, her uncle Ford assumed the role of leader. After her parents' deaths, her uncle wanted to kill her, so he abandoned her in the Blackspire Forest in the dead of night; she was bleeding profusely at the time, yet she somehow managed to escape his clutches and flee into the depths of the Blackspire Forest, only to—due to the massive blood loss...

Six months later, when she woke up in the morning and looked around, she realized she was in a new place. It appeared she was in a poor family's home. She tried to get up but found she was severely injured. When she attempted to pick up a glass to drink water, it slipped from her hand and shattered. Hearing the sound of the breaking glass, a woman entered the room and helped her sit up properly. Upon seeing the woman, Martina asked, "Who are you? Who am I? Where is this place?" The woman was astonished; she stared at her for a good thirty seconds before asking, "Do you really not know who you are?" Martina replied, "All I know is that my name is Martina. I don't remember anything else." Hearing this, the woman said, "You are Martina Lu, my daughter. My name is Lucy, and your father is Oliver Lu. We are a farming family from 'Crimson Land.' You are the only daughter of the Lu family. You have four brothers; they are currently working in the fields. You should rest; I will introduce you to them when they return." With that, the woman left, and Martina fell asleep.

A while later, when she woke up, Lucy brought her some porridge and fed her. Then she asked where her father and brothers were. Lucy replied, "Your father and brothers are outside, waiting for you to wake up." She then went with her mother to the living area, where Oliver and the other four children were sitting and waiting for her. Lucy introduced everyone to her one by one: "This is your father, Oliver. This is your older brother Lucas, and your other brothers—Noah, Henry, and Leo." After meeting them, she said, "I'm sorry, I don't remember any of you." Oliver replied, "It's alright; take your time remembering." Afterward, she went to her room, and the others went to have dinner. At the dining table, Oliver asked, "If she remembers everything and doesn't want to accept us, what will we do?" Hearing this, Lucy said that she wouldn't remember, but even if she did, she would still remain her daughter—nothing could change that. That was the final decision. Then, everyone went to sleep.

The next morning, when Martina woke up and came out of her room, she saw Lucy preparing breakfast. She asked her mother where her father and brother were. Lucy told her that they were working in the fields. In fact, the Lu family was very poor; they earned just enough to feed themselves. Upon hearing that they were on the fields, she asked when they would return. Lucy said they would come back in the evening. After that, she had breakfast and went to her room to rest.

A few days later, Martina was sitting in the living room, deep in thought. Lucy walked over and asked, "What are you thinking about?" Martina replied, "Mom, I don't know why, but everything here feels familiar, yet I just can't seem to get used to it." Lucy said, "Don't overthink it; it's all because of that accident. Don't worry, everything will be fine." Afterward, she went to her room and told Oliver about it. Oliver said, "Don't dwell on it; just remember that she is our daughter." Then, they went about their respective tasks.

After some time, Martina noticed that her fourth brother, Leo, was trying to create something. She went over to him and asked what he was doing. Leo replied, "Nothing, just making something." Then he said, "Hand me a brush and some paper," and he painted a beautiful landscape. Astonished by the painting, Leo asked, "Do you know anything about painting?" She answered, "I don't remember anything." Hearing this, Leo became uneasy and said, "Never mind, let's drop it; let's get something to eat." Then Martina said, "Brother, why don't you go to art school?" Leo replied, "Forget it; we don't have enough money for schooling." Martina felt sad upon hearing this and thought to herself, "I must find a way to earn money so I can send my brother to school, allowing him to learn and achieve his goal."

One morning, as her other brother, Noah, was heading out, she asked him where he was going. Noah replied, "I'm going to the mountains to gather wild vegetables." She said, "I'll come with you." Noah refused, saying, "No, it's too dangerous; you aren't going." However, after she persisted, Noah finally agreed, and they both set off for the mountain. Upon reaching the foothills, she picked some wild vegetables but then insisted on venturing deeper into the mountains. Noah warned that going further in was dangerous due to the risk of wild animals appearing suddenly, but he eventually yielded to her persistent demands. After walking a short distance, Martina heard the roar of a wild beast; sensing the presence of a predator, she told Noah they should climb a tree. They both climbed up and saw a tiger fighting a fox over wild ginseng—a highly valuable herb. In this world, beasts are classified into eight ranks; the higher the rank, the greater the beast's power. During the fight, the fox—being weaker—was killed within thirty seconds, while the tiger remained unscathed. Just as the tiger was about to flee, Martina climbed down and confronted it, saying, "Where do you think you're going? I want that ginseng." Seeing this, Noah exclaimed, "What are you doing?" but she reassured him, "Don't worry, Brother; nothing bad will happen..."
