Chapter 4 Hanging out with Friends

Someone says, hey whats that noise sounds like a baby crying. "Mom I am not feeling so good." Nina says when out of no where she faints, June says Dr. Nat we need something sweet. Nina over did it in training and her sugar is low. Dr Nat comes over with the Icing and juice and they try the juice and when they can not wake her to drink it, they put icing on the inside of her mouth and have it dissolved. Dr. Nat says you sound so calm June. June just laughs and says we go up and down all the time. Dr. most of the ups are caused from her getting into things she still knows she can not get into. Alpha Kat says, look. Look, she's coming around. "Mom I am sorry I was not paying attention when you got hurt. I forgot to check my sugar." It is fine Nina, you just have to be more careful, this time we did not catch it before you passed out. I thought we were going to have to use the glucogone but the Dr. Had Icing. Mom, I'm supposed to go to the movies with my friends tonight. Can I still do that? June says as long as Aunt Kayla agrees to send Naria with you so she can look out for you. Mom, you know I usually catch my sugar before anything bad happens and, besides, I'll be with my friends so I'll be OK. June thinks about it and decides she's right.

So Nina goes home and puts on her skinny jeans and a cute little cold-shouldered rainbow-colored top that has ruffled layers down the front and a pair of flip flops and then puts her hair up in a pony tail. She then picks walks over to Jordie and Delany's house to tell them she is ready. They meet Z and Ryd out front and Jordie says I'll drive. Nina double checks that her phone and her pump are in her purse, which they are, and they head to the Cinemark where the seats are recliners and it has an XD screen. They decide they are going to see "Top g*n Maverick". Nina takes note of her sugar after this morning's low and notes that she is rising from the, Icing and since she is eating popcorn and drinking a diet coke, she gives herself a bolus of insulin as they will be eating dinner after the movie in 3 hours.

They are sitting enjoying the movie but Nina's phone is giving the high blood sugar sound of the fire siren and there is someone in the row in front of them from the smell. He is a werewolf, Nina also notices the smell of strawberries and Daffodils. The Wolf comments on the noise. Can you shut that off? Nina appoligizes and explains its her dexcome alerting her to her Blood sugar being High. He makes the comment," well maybe you should not be in a movie if that is going to go off. Nina is surprised at his rudeness, never having dealt with that from her pack. There is something about this werewolf. He smells different, like strawberries and daffodils, one of her favorite scents. It can't be that though, can it? Could he be her....Izzy suddenly shouts Mate and so does the rude stranger, but I'm only 17. I have 6 months to go. Her friends look shocked and the strange wolf looks even more shocked. How old are you, Nina Asks? He says I am 17. Almost 6 months I'll be 18. How can I have found my mate already?

I'm Nina Izetta-Maude from the Shadow Hunters Pack. Nina Says. The Stranger Says My Name is Ronnie Little future Beta and I'm from the Wolf Song Pack. Does anyone know how we found our wolves before we turned 18? He asks. I can explain, but can you come to my pack tomorrow so that we can explain all of this to you? Nina asks. Would someone also like to tell me why I am not want to kill the two male wolves you have right now? He asks, Nina thinks about it for a moment and says that I am not sure about it but I have a thought and we will explain that tomorrow as well. Ronnie thinks about it for a minute and says is sure I don't have anything better to do. Now can you shut that noise off so I can watch the movie in peace. Ronnie states, Ryd, has had enough and states if you don't like the noise, I suggest you leave. She is not turning that off because if she does and her sugar drops it could kill her. Ronnie states "OMG, being so dramatic, she is a wolf she can heal. Z adds, you need to let it go Ronnie is it you will learn tomorrow, but for now you can move if you dont like it.

Ronnie turns around in his seat and every time his alarm goes off they see him turn

around and give Nina a dirty look. He is thinking why would the moon goddess mate me with a

sick werewolf who can not heal and she is probably an omega on top of that just after power.

Nina had a sense of pride after Ryd and Z defended her. What's Ronnie's problem? Anyway, she has never met anyone so rude, but she really does not leave the pack lands often. She sends her mom a txt and says I met my mate but the mate pull is really weak. Do you think it's because I am being given the option to reject him? June replies "Oh my Moon goddess, is he nice? Do you like him. When we are going to meet him, what pack is he from? Mom really I asked him to come to the pack tomorrow and he's cute but rude and he's the future Beta of the Wolf Song Pack. Mom, He keeps giving me dirty looks over my phone alarm telling me to turn it off and that I should not have come to a movie. We will talk more when I get home. Love you mom.
