Six demons came flying through the door followed by the same vampire in charge from the alley. I grabbed the first two things in my reach; my chefs knife and a small cast iron skillet. The demons seemed to also be the same from the night before. The problem with immortal beings, which most supernatural creature are, is that minus beheading and a few other means of death like lava, they don't die. Even though I did serious damage to the demon the night before I didn't separate his head from his body. Draco was facing off with the vampire who threw him into the living room with a crash. Cass had two menacing looking demons with huge black horns driving her further into the kitchen. The furries were taking on two between the three of them taking flesh at every snap and s***h. That left me two one of which I just sent flying across the kitchen with my skillet. I just ducked the second demon when suddenly a new comer was in the fray. The mysterious vampire who helped us the night before. I hate unannounced company.
I heard a sickening snap and saw one of the demons battling my furries go down with Storm thrashing his neck. Go babies go! Taking advantage of my distraction the demon I just ducked grabbed me by the waist. I felt magic building around me. Hell no this dude was trying to cover us with magic and leave with me. Not happening. Seizing the knife as glass exploded everywhere, I jabbed it straight into his jugular. Yanking the knife out blood went everywhere and I was abruptly dropped. I cast a glance in Casses direction to see the mysterious vampire throw her behind him to protect her from a nasty dagger one of the demons had produced. He was protecting her. Interesting. A familiar sound hit my ears and I screamed ”Duck!” just as the vampire yelled the same to Cass throwing her down to cover her. An arrow with black fetchings zipped through the back door and into the head of the demon with the dagger. More company.
This time when the door opened it was with reinforcements. The Hunters had arrived. Cass and the vampire were fighting back to back now, her going against the demon I thought I'd knocked out. Celeste was first through the back door going straight for the demon still going against the furries.
"Hello cousin." she said unseathing a short sword. "Working for the vampire finally get you into trouble? Mother called." Well s**t. I shot her a look and made for the living room. Angelika was right on Celeste's heels and I saw she was going to the aid of Cass. “Hey El! Great party!” She said as I passed her running to the living room. The living room looked like a tornado hit but I didn't have time to think about it as another arrow flew through the just missing Draco and the vampire. Catching sight of the arrow the vampire threw Draco into a wall and cast me look as if considering something but then fled calling to any remaining demons to follow. Just as he made it out the door I felt movement. Somehow I threw myself to where Draco was just getting to his feet and threw myself against him as the blade of a short sword came a hairs breath away from my throat.
"No!" I screamed. Orion glared at me.
I had my body positioned over Draco one hand wrapping backwards around him. The other I realized was still holding the knife which was poisitioned at my cousins chest. Awkward. Still he didn't back down.
"He's not to be harmed! Ever!" I was still screaming. Still Orrion didn't move or speak. I could hear fighting still in the kitchen then two demons and the other vampire went flying through the front door followed by Celeste and Angelika. "Go Rion! Bring the vampires back alive. They need to be questioned. I'll call you later." A breath later he lowered the sword.
"It's not safe here Sabella." he said starting out the door.
"I know. I'll go somewhere safe and call you. Turn on your phones. I love you guys and thanks." When he went out the door I relaxed my protective stance and ran into the kitchen. Cass was covered in blood but apparently not hurt. All the furries came to me straight away which gave me huge relief. Draco came in behind me and looked around as if waiting for another attack.
"What the f**k was that?" Cass was yelling.
"I don't know but one of the demons was trying to take me and run. He was cloaking us with magic when I shoved the knife in his throat." I gave an inward shudder. Then looked at my house and sighed dropping my head.
Draco looked at me "You need to pack a bag. You'll be coming to stay at the compound. Cass and I will take care of the remaining bodies."
"I can't just pack a bag! All of my things are here!" I exclaimed but even as I said it I knew he was right. Without even acknowledging he was going to argue I started for my room fur babies in tow to grab an overnight bag and stuff it with everything I need plus some. Returning to what was left of my of my living room I sifted through the debris and found the last picture I had taken with my parents and one of our family and my cousins family together. In my bag I had clothes, bath and beauty stuff, and my jewelry. I grabbed a few books from the floor and added them to the bag as well as the healing kit Celeste kept fully stocked for me. One last trip to the kitchen to get my brew canister and back to the living room. Cass and Draco met me there both looking at me with sad expressions.
"I will send some people out here tomorrow. They'll clean up and gather the rest of your possession to bring to the compound." said Draco in a somber tone. I nodded sadly. It wasn't my dream house but I called it home and it made me sad to see my things smashed, crashed, and crushed. Grabbing my keys and phone which I had laid on the counter on my way to the back door I walked out the front door and locked it out of habit. Opening the back door to the Jeep the furries all jumped in. Cass was already climbing Ito her Audi when I went to open up the garage. "What are you doing?" Puff snapped. He was edgy, waiting for another attack but I wasn't leaving without my prized possession. "I need one more thing" I said over my shoulder. Luckily it was still strapped down to the trailer and I was aready backed up into position. When I lifted the garage door and and went to attaching the trailer to the hitch I heard Draco muttering "Nice" behind me. Like I said one more thing, my 1965 Ford Mustang Shelby GT30 was not staying here if I wasn't.
