Jasmine was hesitant to crawl between us in bed last night but once she settled in I felt her body relax. There was this odd tension in the air but it was a good one. This is new to all three of us and I think we are each nervous in our own ways. I'm hoping with some open communication and trust we will manage to navigate our way through this brand new territory. Dinner last night with Gavin's family was spectacular. They are such a tight knot family and it makes me miss mine that much more. I just hope they have been well the past year that I've been away.
Dragons can be known to have terrible tempers and the fact that our safety and protection was sort of contingent on me being with Evelyn there's a real chance my family may have been kicked out of Ember's Flock. My stomach sinks
