Tonight went just as planned, and seeing her eyes light up with happiness was worth it. It's been so hard to keep it secret, but I'm so happy I managed to pull it off. I did surprise myself, though.
We've had a good catch-up, plenty to eat, and lots of dancing. I'm currently carrying my sleeping mate to bed. She was struggling to keep her eyes open even though she tried so hard to push past it to spend more time with everyone. She has made me the happiest man alive. She doesn't see what I see.
