Mia When my nose began to run because of how chilly the air was, I knew it was time for me to return to the house even though I’d rather stay out in the cold than face those cold scrutinizing eyes of the man I married. I reluctantly stood up, returned the chair to the canopy, and kissed the fountain goodbye before walking back towards the giant front door of the house. I took one last glance at Jonathan’s study through the window, and the lights were still on. Did this man care for sleep at all? Because I knew that no matter how late he slept, he was always somehow up before the first ray of sunlight came. I twisted the doorknob and yanked the door open before dragging myself into the house, my body finally giving in to fatigue. I walked into the house, expecting nothing but emptiness
