At the first morning light, I peeled my eyes open and slowly adjusted to the sunlight. As I sat up and stretched on the bed, I realized I was in an entirely different room. Yesterday’s events came flooding back into my head and I winced at the slight throb in the back of my head.
But the highlight of my night was Jonathan’s change of heart towards me. Did he finally see me for who I really was?
Was it the alcohol or was it the fact that he probably heard about what I had done?
I didn’t realize I was smiling so hard until my cheeks started to hurt. If anyone had told me that Jonathan would see me as anything other than just a trophy wife, I definitely would not have believed it.
