Mia’s pov I took a deep breath, stared at my phone screen and exhaled softly. My father’s name stared right back at me as my thumb circled around the dial button. “Is this even worth my time?” I muttered to myself. He only called me once and I knew he was boiling when I didn’t respond. I swallowed hard and pressed the button, waiting patiently for the call to connect. “Sir…” I muttered and waited. Silence followed. Deep drowning silence. “Are you there?” I asked and he cleared his throat. “It has come to my notice, Mia, that you have now grown wings. You believe you now have the upper hand because you no longer stay under my roof, is that true?” His voice scratched my ear. “I don’t know who brought what to your notice, but I have no answers to your questions, sir.” I shot back
