ROSA POV In the dead of night, while everyone was asleep on campus Rosa, having just completed her assignment and readies it for submission gets a call, “Hazel, what is it this time? Why are you calling at this hour? What happened?” an exasperated Rosa retorts over the phone. Amid muffled cries “Rosa, please help me…” “Hazel! What’s the matter? Are you okay? Where are you?” “They, they…”  Hazel the starts crying hysterically. She can’t even coherently form a sentence without breaking down,” Please come get me Rosa!” “Okay! Where are you Haze? Tell me and I’ll be there in a heartbeat love. Calm down and talk to me.” Said Rosa, gently coaxing her to calm down. “Fifth Avenue street, inside the tunnel, please hurry up,” “Alright sweetheart, I am on my way.” After ending the call, Rosa was quickly on her way; grabbing her apartment keys and coat and dashed out. Running in the cold night she makes her way to the route she received from her friend. Along the way, she sensed trouble in her gut, though she couldn’t quite place it. For a while, she felt a sense of danger lurking around her and presumably, she quickened her steps. Though she is a Black Belt in Karate, she’d rather not cause any trouble – she’s trying to keep a low profile, get a degree and lead a simple life without drama. A barely audible chuckle sounded behind her, causing her to stop dead in her tracks and whirl around quicker than the wind. She raises her chin to face her apparent opponent and inevitably, there stands a drunk man in his late thirties, smirking at her in a revolting way. “Senorita, care to serve me well? Here are a few bucks, what can that buy me?” he said, making his way to Rosa, who at the time was exuding an aura of danger and death. Staring at him right in the eyes, she said, “I don’t have anything to offer you, now please be on your merry way back to wherever you come from.” Sneering slightly, as anger steadily leached into her conscience.  “You think highly of yourself, don’t you senorita? I said come here and serve me well!” the man roars, spit flying as he speaks – his breath reeking of alcohol. Before he even made is way to her, Rosa raised her foot and kicked him hard on the jaw, breaking it and knocking him out instantly. “I said I have nothing to offer you, scumbag” Rosa says walking away from the scene before any more trouble arises. Just as she was about to head for the tunnel, she gets another call from Hazel, “Rosa, where are you?” “I am on my way to the tunnel you mentioned, don’t worry I am on my way. Everything is going to be fine.” Rosa said, quickening her pace all the while so as to not keep her friend waiting for too long. “Actually, I am already at home. Its okay, sorry for troubling you too much, a gentleman I came across took me home. I had no idea you would actually come help me, sorry Rosa.” Hazel, guiltily tells her friend who had just dropped everything to come help her in the middle of the night.  Feeling gut-punched, Rosa didn’t have the energy to argue with anyone and so with a frustrated sigh, she hung up the phone and headed back to her apartment, agitated and cold however, grateful that her dumb friend is now out of trouble. On her way back, she feels a chilling sensation down her spine and though not seeing what exactly it is that is making her uneasy, she tried to ignore it and walk home. As she tried to jog back, she hears a man’s muffled voice crying for help and that makes her freeze on the spot. She follows the sound and tries to get a look – taking a couple of staggering steps backward, she is horrified of what she sees. The man she knocked out was struggling in the hands of what seemed to be a very strong yet young looking and very beautiful man. She couldn’t help but feel sorry for him and yet, she was shocked by what she saw – it looked like his mouth was on the man’s neck. Frozen in place, she gasped out loud and tried but failed to move, enchanted by the beauty of this ruthless man. At that moment, he heard the faint breathe Rosa let out and quickly turned in her direction. She hid behind the trees well in time, and decided to make a run for it as soon as she can or she’s next on the menu! “Whatever happened to leading a quiet life Rosa?” she mocked at herself. Meanwhile, the enchanting man was taking slow determined yet undetected steps towards the tree Rosa was behind. Without looking back, Rosa took to her heels and ran as fast her legs could carry her. Sensing the danger nearing her by the second, she wielded her pocket knife and readied herself for the unfortunate, all the while, running. Just as she was about to take a left towards her house street, she felt a pair of hands on her shoulder – forceful and abrupt, stopping her in her tracks. The stranger whirled Rosa around to face him and to her surprise, there stood the enchanter! Trying her level best to break contact Rosa pushed hard on the man’s chest but owing to his strength, he didn’t budge and her knife proved useless at a critical time! What happened to her martial arts?! Panting and struggling, Rosa kicked and punched but all her efforts were in vain. In a flash, she was carried in the air and flew back to the woods at an inexplicable speed. The only thing she felt was the gust of wind, dead leaves in her face and the man’s hands on her shoulders. Once her feet touched the ground, she once again tried to make a run for it however, she was stopped by his palm on her waist. “Hold on little girl, not so fast.” Cooed the strange man. “What do you want from me?! I am not an escort and I am not for sale, please leave me alone!” Rosa shouted without meeting his eyes, afraid that the moment she looked into his eyes, she would be mesmerized beyond reasoning ability. “Who said anything about you being an escort?” he said smirking at the girl before him, slowly gaining a bit of interest in her. “Whatever you are looking for, I cannot give nor offer to you. Please let me go.” She said politely, all the while her heart pounding against her ribcage. “Are you sure about that?” said the man, grabbing her elbows and pulling her closer to him. Seeing that she was avoiding his gaze, he gently lifted her chin to look her in the eyes. Rosa’s heart was racing, making her breath catch within her throat – she looked like a deer caught in headlights.  The moment he saw the effect he was having on her, he made it a mission to toy a bit with his prey before devouring her as he did his previous victim.  Although he wanted to drink her, he decided to take his time and lure her into his trap properly. At this time, Rosa was dumbfounded and unable to form any coherent thought – all sense evaded her, leaving her in a desperate moment. In the back of her head, she was counting seconds to her death but for some reason, she couldn’t break free of his hold, no matter how much she tried to re-gain her self-control.  A moment later, she felt the man’s cold lips on hers, soft yet demanding entry into her mouth, stealing her breath away. At one point, she felt his tongue intruding her mouth and this man pulled her closer to him by her waist. Wrapping his hands around her, she felt there was no way she could escape, although having tried to push him away many times. In between his tongue attacks, he kept murmuring, “Sweet, so sweet,” sucking on her lips in a haze of pleasure. To her surprise, she yielded to his demanding pursuit. Soon, she was pressed against a tree and fervently kissed to the point that she felt her undies go wet. A moment later, she felt a hardness pressing against her belly. She had no idea what it was, she could only hear the labored breathing of this beautiful stranger who has her pinned against a tree. A while later, the man pulled away, looking at her in a puzzled state he said, “Who are you, sweet thing?” staring at her swollen lips, yearning for another taste. Before he could move in for another, Rosa ducked and ran away - only this time, she could only envision this man who stole her first kiss. She arrived at her doorstep, got into her house and locked the door behind her.  She ran upstairs to the bathroom with hopes of scrubbing her mouth hard but when she got there, she could perceive his scent all over her and couldn’t help recalling the intensity of the moment. Subconsciously, her fingers went to her mouth, caressing ever so slightly. She looked in the mirror and found that she was blushing. Against her logical self, she wanted to see him again but at that time, she remembered what she saw right before her ‘encounter’ with him – he held that man with his teeth to the neck, “what was that?” she asked herself. Realizing she wasn’t going to get answers anytime soon, she decided to forget the entire incident and write it down as an illusion owing to her fear. She decided to take a shower, and head back to bed. Rosa couldn’t stop thinking about him, his dense eyelashes, straight nose, soft thin lips, charming smile, sharp jaw…  ‘Stop Rosa! He’s a pervert! Who kisses a girl they met in less than an hour?!’ she thought to herself, “I wish I never meet him again,” finally, she fell asleep.
