And landi ko.
Hindi ko alam kung saan ako kumuha ng lakas ng loob para masabi 'yon.
"Wait until I turn eighteen."
Talaga ba, Maria Alexandria? Landi-landi lang?
I shook my head.
Hindi ko tuloy alam kung paano ako haharap kay Dashiel ngayon. Bakit ba kasi pumasok iyon sa isip ko?
Para tuloy ang desperate ko pakinggan.
My god, Alexa.
I almost jumped when my phone rang.
"Oh, my god." I muttered seeing the caller.
It was him, Dashiel.
My heart beats wildly that I couldn't move. I don't know what to do!
Dammit!
The ringing stopped but it started again. I waited until it stopped ringing again and when it did, a text message immediately got in.
[Answer my call, baby.] Dashiel messaged.
I shook my head.
[I can't. I'm shy.] I honestly replied.
[Do you want me to go there?] He asked.
My eyes widened and immediately pressed the dial button. Dashiel answered it and I didn't even hear it ring.
"Why would you go here?" I asked.
"For you to talk to me," he answered. "Baby, what's wrong?" He then asked.
I shook my head again although he couldn't see it.
"I don't know. Nothing. I... I just find it inappropriate," I answered.
"What is inappropriate, baby?" He asked again.
"Hmm... The one I told you before I got out of your car," I answered again.
I heard him sighed. "That shocked me, honestly. But please, don't bother, okay? Let's just pretend that it didn't happen," he said.
I bit my lips, suppressing myself to smile like an idiot. "You sure?" I clarified.
"Yeah. I don't want you to feel awkward towards me just because of that," he said.
"You are so thoughtful, baby." I can't help but voice out.
"I just love you, okay?" He said.
I nodded. "I love you too," I answered.
Dashiel and I talked more; changing from different topics.
"What will you do after college?" I asked.
Dashiel dreams to be a doctor, but I know that his grandparents are pressuring him to handle their family businesses, the reason for him to take extra courses that's related to business aside from his course which was Biomedical Engineering.
"Work," he answered. "How about you? What degree are you planning to take?"
I shrugged. "I'm not sure yet, but maybe business? Papa Ae is always telling me that I will be the successor of his businesses," I answered. "Which work will you do?"
"Maybe the construction firm," he answered.
"How about becoming a doctor? That's your dream, baby." I said.
I heard him sighed. "I'm not sure." He said and I know there's sadness in his voice.
"You know what, let Dan or D handle your grandparents' business. Tell them you have your own dreams and that's the only profession that will make you happy. I know Ninang will surely back you up," I said.
"Do you want to see me become a doctor?" He asked.
"Of course, baby! I will be your number one patient. You know, I might have injured myself so I could be confined and you will take care of me," I said, laughing a bit.
I heard him tsk-ed. "I will be a neurologist, baby. You can't injure yourself," he said.
"Right. Edi, I will take nursing! You will be the doctor and I will be your nurse! Oh, my god. I suddenly got excited." I said.
Dashiel laughed a hearty one. "Baby, how can you be a nurse when you're scared of needles?" He said.
I rolled my eyes. "I can work that out! Ang judgemental mo naman agad," I said.
"I'm not. I'm just telling you that being a medical staff isn't easy. It wasn't something you can take lightly," he said.
"You know what, I will be a housewife na lang." I said.
He laughed. "That's better. I would like you to stay at home and take care of our children," he said.
My eyes widened. "Huy! Anong children ka d'yan? Ang sure mo naman pala masyado." I said.
"What's wrong with that?"
"What if hindi pala tayo sa huli?" I asked.
"Did you make me your boyfriend just to break-up after a few months?" He asked.
I shook my head. "Of course, not! You know I only loved you," I said.
"Then, stop saying things like that. I'm so sure about you so I hope you're sure about me too. Because honestly, I don't have any plan of living with someone that isn't you," he said.
And I can't help but feel kilig. "Ang landi mo," I said.
Dashiel laughed again and said, "I love you, baby."
"I love you more," I replied.
That's how our day ended.
The next day went smoothly. I would meet him during lunch and sometimes, I purposely refused riding with Dionne and Dan's service so I could ride with Dylan. And in his car, we would either eat while listening to our favorite songs or making out.
Like now...
"This is so hard," I murmured against his lips. I was sitting in the passengers' seat while he's in the driver's seat. We were sitting sideways just to reach each other and damn, imagine how hard our position is.
"Do you want us to move to the backseat?" He asked, caressing my cheek.
I shook my head. "Hassle," I replied.
"But you're complaining," he said, planting a soft kiss on my lips.
I nodded. "I got an idea but I don't know if you will agree, though." I said.
"What is it?" He asked.
I smirked and leaned on him. I reached for the side of his seat and reclined it. That startled Dashiel and his eyes widened when I climbed to sit on him.
"I know you will not like this but I'm already here so please, don't tell me to move out," I said and started kissing him again, giving him no chance to complain.
"I love you," I said, kissing him more.
"I love you more," he replied. I could feel his hands behind me, caressing it.
And that sends chills on my back.
"Baby," I moaned, trying to grind him.
Dashiel, being a saint, immediately stopped me. He looked at me and shook his head.
"Don't, please." He pleaded.
"Why?"
"Baby, you're too young for things like that," he answered.
"I want to do it," I insisted.
Dashiel pulled me and hugged me tight.
"We will do it, but not now, baby." He said.
"When?" I asked as I snuggled on the crock of his neck.
"When you turned eighteen," he answered.
I moved away from him and sat on his lap, I even slapped his shoulder. "Stop teasing me about that, Dashiel! Hindi na ako na tutuwa," I answered.
This guy, he always teases me about that whenever he gets a chance.
"I'm sorry. I won't do that again," he said, kissing the side of my head.
I rolled my eyes. "You should really wait until I turn eighteen, because I swear, I will make you moan non-stop," I said and grinned at him.
Dashiel's eyes widened and his lips ajar.
"See?" I said. "You will get a lot of this in a few months baby," I said and stopped grinding on him.
He took a deep breath and glared at me. "I know you will be the death of me," he said, pulling me back to him and crashing his lips to mine.
My Dashiel Zyron Dela Torre is a kiss addict.
"What are you up to lately, A? You have been missing a lot," Dionne asked me.
It's lunch time and I'm eating with them this time.
I shrugged. "Nothing in particular," I answered.
Dionne squinted her eyes suspiciously. "I don't believe you," she said and turned to Lucia. "Do you know what she's been doing lately? Why is she so busy?" She asked her.
Lucia shook her head. "I don't have any idea, I swear." She answered, raising her right hand.
I rolled my eyes. "Why are you so pressed about it, D? I'm not doing anything , alright?" I said.
"Then, explain why you were always missing during lunch the past few days?" Dan butted in.
I scoffed. "Why y'all so curious?" I asked instead.
"Of course, we will, A! We are your friends," Dionne said.
"K's not asking me, though." I said.
Keith shrugged. "Not my problem," she said.
Dionne turned to her, she opened her mouth then closed it again. I know she was about to say something but she just can't voice it out.
"Really, I'm fine, alright?" I assured them. "I just want to be alone sometimes," I added.
"Are you having enough with us? That's why you chose to be alone sometimes?" Dionne asked dramatically.
My eyes widened. "Of course, not! Stop thinking nonsense, Dionne. Oh, my god. Dan, stop putting inappropriate things inside your sister's head," I said.
I knew it's only Dan who could do that. I caught him sometimes saying things about other people to his sister.
Like, he was brainwashing Dionne to dislike someone. And I knew, he's giving Dionne ideas as to why I am always missing.
God. These Dela Torre siblings are giving me a terrible headache.
"I'm just telling her my opinion. Don't make me the bad guy," Dan said.
I didn't argue further instead, I convinced Dionne that I'm not avoiding them nor I have had enough with them.
Ugh. Dionne, sometimes, could be this gullible.
Our afternoon classes started after a while. It's gym class again and like usual, I was on the bleachers again.
I was with Lucia this time because K and Dan were set to play today.
I took out my phone.
[I don't think you can drive me home today, baby.] I texted Dashiel.
[Why?] He immediately replied.
[Your siblings are being suspicious and Dan, god. Your brother is giving Dionne ideas as to why I'm not always around during lunch.] I said.
[Want me to reprimand him?] He texted back.
I laughed a bit reading that.
[What? Reprimand, baby? Are you even capable of doing that?] I asked.
I knew Dan and D are kind of scared of their brother which I think is because Dashiel is older than them and they respect them as their big brother. But him, reprimanding Dan, nah. He must have been kidding me.
[You don't believe me? Have you asked them why they are scared of me?]
I shook my head although he couldn't see me.
[Nah. I'm not interested before but tell me now.]
[Alright. But please, don't unlove me after this, okay?]
[What? How am I able to do that? Baby, I have been loving you since I was seven. Despite you being so mean to me.] I answered.
[Ouch. You're being too personal, baby.] He replied.
[What the hell? Hahaha. Come on, tell me.]
[Alright. There was this one time back when I was in high school and you guys were still in elementary. Dan was teasing Dionne until she cried so, I told him to stop and say sorry to Dionne but he won't listen to me. Instead, he teased Dionne more until she had to fight back. They wrestled in front of me. I was telling them to stop but hell, they were so stubborn to even listen to. Dan accidentally punched Dionne in the chest and she cried so loud and to my annoyance, I lifted Dan and threw him in the pool.] He explained.
And my mouth hangs open after learning that.
[Really? What happened next?] I asked.
[I was so mad that I forgot that he didn't know how to swim yet. He almost drowned. And from then, the two started to get scared of me. I don't know if that's a good thing or not.] He replied.
And can't stop laughing after reading that.
My god.
I didn't know my baby was capable of doing that.
[That's a good thing, baby. At least now, they know that they couldn't mess with you. I now understand why they immediately listen to you.] I said.
[Baby, I'm still guilty about that until now. I almost killed my brother.] He said.
I wanted to reply, Dan deserved that. But of course, I can't.
[Baby, you know sometimes, we have to show people how we turned out when reaching our limit. So, they would know where they mistook themselves. Besides, what you did taught your siblings a good lesson and it is, not to let their Kuya Dashiel reach its limit. Now I understand why they are nice to you.] I said.
Now, I wonder what he will be like when he reaches his limit because of me.
[What if I made you mad to the point you already reached your limit. What punishment will you do to me?] I asked.
[What?]
[Just answer it, please?] I replied.
[I don't know if that's possible but if ever, I always have this one thing in my head that I want to do just to shut you up.]
[What is it?]
[You will know when you turned eighteen.] He replied.
My eyes automatically widened because of that.
[Dashiel Zyron! You perv!] I texted back but I only received a laughing emoji from him.
God.
This guy's really...ugh!
